Once Upon A Time At Antonio's Lair

Ok fellow friends, antonio is back to bring the fun and excitment in the scene. As u all know that not much Intel people dare to bring up their overclocking 'ciput' since right now all the abang AMD has tapau us all. cry.gif

But no sweat...8k in Sandra mem bench doesnt mean anything if your still runing under 4G's....hahahah...ya thats rite...4G brother...well i'm also short of that amount...so lets gather and open a 4Gigahertz shall we??

AMD icon_rolleyes.gif

-So this is first run...3.8 teruss...no kasi chance wan... notworthy.gif

-This were a lil bit brave...bump up voltage a bit and start craking...

-This is the 1MB run of the seriously (saat-saat getir) 4 non stop Dunhills....

-Not enough stability in my book...so i ran an instance of 32MB to see what happends...Temp being beeping like hell...

well...as for CPU-z validation can be found here----> http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=85819 or http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=85818

:Notice:
-no 3D testing...(not a fan of 3D anyway)
-games : played Godfather EA & CM2006 12 hours...No problem...
-Temps max were 63c
-bump voltages 1.45v
-who say's putting two Presscott core in a single chip is no good??

What's the idle temp and full load temp for the highest clocks archieved?
*
idle around 36-39c
max load temp would be around 63-67c...

any intel user can reach 4Ghz? drool.gif

erm..a few guys here...view the intel thread to know more....

QUOTE(Cyclone87 @ Apr 11 2006, 05:29 PM)
Wow..that 805 is really high overclockable. But..i notice your ram running at 190mhz = DDR380? You underclock it too far for DDR2 . Try with tighter timing and higher clock for ram. Your superPI is very slow for a 3.9ghz  . Perhaps due to ur Slow DDR2 runing at DDR380  biggrin.gif
No offence here.
*
no lar...maybe it is actually downclock a lot...

the problem with DDR2 and my mobo is that it cant run at 1:1 which is supposed to be DDR 133 while FSB at 133 aLSO....if i set the ram at that speed...my overclocking would be around 3.0gig only....

im running 1/4

QUOTE(PCcrazy @ Apr 12 2006, 06:42 AM)
I would like to command you to do the prime TEST NOW!!!!!!!!!!  tongue.gif

Just to provide a better picture of system stability, just whack it for 2 hours is good enough for all of us. I hate SUPERPI because it's quite easy to pass, most of the time extensive or critical applications like installing kernel module for linux would hang provided the system is not stable when priming. It does happen to me couple of times before and I completely hosed my system.

Prime...later boss coz rite now still need to rectify cooling problem...thermal reach up 67 last nite and thermal protection only at 65c...arghhhhh

Great overclocking, it has been a long time since the northwood era. I say bring it on the stuff tone and antonio.

Honestly I'm lacking knowledge of Intel processor and motherboard since the introduction of AMD64 939. Oh not to mention about DDR2, I have had many friends asking which brand of DDR2 to go with Intel and I simply have no idea. I guess too much on one sided platform makes me ignorant about the rest of the platform.

not that much....all kinda same actually....but a limited option compare to DFI genie bios.... rclxm9.gif

max vcore i'm applying is 1.475v which is quite low to prime at 3.5g....i need to watercooled and maybe dust of my pelting kit just to cool down the 67c mark on prime peak temp constant at maybe 2 minutes a drift...

Yo . Bro Antonio ,  r u using gigabyte GA-8I945P-G ????? and mind to what ram u using. ??????

AGRHHHHHHHHHHHHH...... i had  805 as well OC on MSI 945P NEO cant EVEN POST on FSB > 143 !!

Intel 805 + Kingston 512MB DDR533 (Samsung chip) + MSI 945P NEO-F (ms7176)

Seen like i got the problem same as b4 which i got my NF4-Neo4 plat.!! Cant POST on >215Mhz No matter how i tweak / changing version of bios !! Give up after 2 month

den change Board to DFI lanparty the same ram + cpu, easilly boot up
>280 , prime stable @ 250mhz 1:1 now.
WTF MSI doing . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any Comment for me ?

I faced the same problem when i was first firing up the system. I reckon there is something helding back the 945 Chipset which failing to overclock with 1:1 FSB/MEM Mhz...Only when i put on dividers then only the chip fly high....Eventhou i achieve it to get around 3.9+Ghz i cant push FSB in windows nor bios to get it up to 4G's....

i sent an email to Gigabyte about the matter and you know what the replied me with?

that mobo will cost at least 1k...
make sure u did explore some of their review 1st bro..
obviously that is the best mobo available out there beside Abit AW8D..
both of them just using 4pin ATX 12V.. if u plan to play with "dwi teras" procs, make sure ur psu have at least dual 12V rails(not a prob for u rite?)..
one more thing normally fanless will not promise the best temp although with heatpipe design.. i guess u need to prepare sumthing for that..
*
1K??<--maybe got
'dwi teras'<---got aledi
4 pin ATX12v???<---what the fuk is that?
dual rails??<---I got a PSU with 4 rails...
heatpipe temps not good<----now thats is the thrill all about rclxm9.gif

For ddr2 ram.  200mhz = 400ddr2 rating.  300mhz = 600ddr2 rating.  So 266mhz = 533ddr2 rating.

so mine is DDr600 lar rite now.... rclxub.gif owh..and it is stable lor...regarding the rams are only KVR 512 ddr2...
