Any software to design logo?, can suggest some of it?

Hi all,
i'm trying to design a logo here. need to play with some fonts and also some special effects, such as the Intel logo, that the e is below the others. or like i wan to make the Low Yat.net logo with the t has a long tail..... etc. do you know any software that can do this? thanks in advance have a nice day |

hmm... didnt expect so much work to do to design a logo lol gotta sleep less the coming days  cheers |
