dear apple gurus,

i'm the proud new owner of a white 1gb nano, my first apple product ever. so here are my questions:

1) my music collection by far exceeds 1gb. so how does itunes decide which songs are loaded on to the ipod? does it randomly change everytime i connect/update?

2)if i remove a song from the itunes library list, how do i get it back (assuming i did not delete the file)?

3)what is the effect of chec/uncheck the songs in my itunes library list?

4)sound check equalizes the volume of all the songs right? so i enable the sound check option on my ipod also but some songs are still too loud/soft. am i doing something wrong?

thanks guys!

hopefully i can help:

1) Yes, it is random, whether it changes when ever you connect your nano i dont know.

2) You can just drag the song back into the music library, presuming you know where the file is, it isnt a problem at all.

3) As far as I know, its for burning purposes, where this is the songs that the computer has selected to burn to CD given that there are too many songs to fit on 1 CD

4) The equalizer is not that strong, I cant feel a noticeable difference on my nano either. Its just the way it is i guess. Judging by what you said I can't find fault in what your doing

hope this helps
