Even though Snapdragon 600 is almost similar to S4 Pro. Even their model number is similar APQ8064 (S4 Pro) vs APQ8064T (Snapdragon 600), Snapdragon 600 should be a lot more efficient compared to S4 Pro. That is... Without sacrificing performance. http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s4_...eview-913p6.phpBenchmark with both phone shows improvement over all S4 Pro models (without tweaks like what cowithgun did.) including the Xperia Z, Nexus 4, Optimus G, Oppo Find 5, etc etc since the Native clock speed is higher than S4 Pro at 1.7GHz to 1.9GHz vs 1.5GHz of S4 Pro. Even their GPU is performing better than that of S4 Pro even though both using Adreno 320. Weird? Oh yeah... Not to forget that these upcoming models got 4 times the pixel to push to their display. 1080p QUOTE(cowithgun @ Mar 27 2013, 04:57 PM) not agree... Display S4 vs N4: S4 is PenTile matrix. Nono for me. Many people hate it, including me. S4 max brightness = 404, N4 max brightness = 608 CPU Snapdragon 600 vs Snapdragon S4 Pro: - Only difference is 600 running at higher freq and larger memory bandwidth - IMHO, larger memory bandwidth has neglectable effect for phone. My benchmark proven it (sort of). - GPU is the same - adreno 320. - From the benchmark, I can safely assume that if you push your S4 pro to 1.9ghz, you will get the same performance as S600... without any other optimization. - My 1.7ghz with tweaked already at the same performance as S600 @ 1.9ghz. sorry to burst your bubble guys, but WHO CARES ABOUT BENCHMARKS anymore??? We long time android users got over benchmarks a long time ago since the age of eclair. Now it's all about how we feel to use the device, in the real world. That's why most apple users chose apple products, and that's why most of us Nexus owners chose Nexus over all other flagships because the feel of using it and the user experience is a lot better than any other choices. For most of us, we've been through most (if not all) other manufacturers with their heavy skin jobs, in my personal opinion at least, natural beauty (vanilla android) is better than plastic surgery (skin jobs). and using benchmark figures to compare devices is like comparing horsepower of cars instead of really driving them, both are totally different things when u only look at the numbers saying that a ferrari 360 is faster than a Honda NSX because the prancing horse has more hp than the Honda, but in real life the NSX pounced the 360 in almost everything.

QUOTE(Xirality @ Mar 27 2013, 11:23 PM) I think because there are audience who look up at benchmark more. I read more on the pro and cons though +1 those websites just don't wanna get flamed for not posting any benchmarks, since they are tech sites and half the viewers there are geeks. there are some useful benchmarks though, like battery benchmarks, since nobody can test every phone's battery limit with test / demo units. personally, the performance benchmarks are totally useless. i am a tech guy working in a tech field, but i really don't give 2 shxts about these benchmarks when buying a device.

QUOTE(Xirality @ Apr 4 2013, 01:58 AM) Most probably Digi problem, they are known for weak/slow signal. I'm using Digi broadband in my N4 and postpaid UMobile in iPhone 5. Guess what, my UM is faster than DG Hi there don't be shocked, a lot of us already knew that. UM's coverage (in some areas) is even better than Celcom and Maxis, which I'm using (both) now. my wife is using UM.

Is this normal? normal loh, depends on how shielded is your room. i'm experiencing the same thing in my room for both maxis and celcom, and the phones are right beside the window...

QUOTE(cowithgun @ Apr 7 2013, 01:48 AM) u mean 4.2.2 stock rom? https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/imagescome back the pure awesomeness of pure Android! on another news, it looks more and more that Android 5.0 gui will move towards brighter and white theme. look at the new Goolgle Play? Google Now? all white background. my desktop Chrome just updated a moment ago, all the menu also bright white background now... IPS screen in Nexus 4 fits just nicely with white. sammy most likely will again, tweak TouchWiz away from this since AMOLED screen tends to use more battery to display white: http://mobileraptor.blogspot.de/2012/04/ip...mption-and.htmlso this is google's counter attack on Samsuck. a clear message: know your place u arrogant fxck!

QUOTE(annoymous1234 @ Apr 17 2013, 03:20 PM) yea sometimes i wonder why google remove useful features from the past, some of those exist in way back in GB. take notification and ringtone for example. why would anyone in the right mind to have both mixed together. the fck! QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Apr 17 2013, 03:42 PM) In that case I would say it's device or router issue. It's more like ISP issue. Same problem remains even if you download through WiFi in different locations? Mass Storage Mode > MTP Mode for me. No matter what fancy word Googlers use to cover up MTP it's still a mess. Sure,Mass Storage Mode lack some functions like ability to remain viewable to different devices at single time and unified storage but it was reliable in 1 main thing : transferring files. use wifi file explorer or airdroid if u have problems with MTP. personally i don't have much problems with MTP, sometimes folders with hundreds of file takes some time to load and the transfer speed gets a bit low, but that's it.
