If that's the case, unlock your bootloader first and everything else can come later (Rooting, Flashing Kernel, Flashing ROMs, etc); as unlocking bootloader WILL wipe off every data on your phone. So the earlier you do it the less hassle later tongue.gif

What is the cons of unlocking bootloader for the Nexus 4 such as warranty over? hmm.gif

owh.. looks like u'll have to go to either ur service provider(maxis, digi, etc) or just any phone store for the Sim Cutting
*
Most probably will be going to the service centres. I am using Umobile. SIM cutting is free right? hmm.gif

Red = Extremely low battery <15%
Orange = Usual charging
Green = >90% battery

Just let the battery to charge till you see the green led.Try booting your phone then.
*
But the battery was like 50% before this happened. And when I try to power on it just reached the google logo then poof its gone. Panicked right now cry.gif

Is your problem solved?

"Guys i can confirm that it is a battery drain issue
before doing anything to your lovely phone
just leave it for 10-15 min for charging on original charger

in between keep long pressing the power button to check whether the battery is charged to boot the phone o not

i have experience this the 2nd time now both times it revived by this charging method

Be patient dont tear your phones apart keep it as a last resort"

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...=2127047&page=2

Give it a try?
*
Charging now but it won't boot up. Watched some video on youtube looks like i need to get myself a Torx 5 screwdriver.

10-15 minutes? Phone was pretty hot sad.gif

QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Apr 19 2013, 01:39 AM)
Remember that you may open the back cover without voiding the warranty. However you may void the warranty if you tamper with the battery.
*
Thanks for the info, even if I claim warranty this problem will still persist right?

Thank you! At first i was concerned about the back-glass cover will cracks however the risk could be minimized by getting a bumper for it.
And now come with the "Red light of death " issue @@
*
The phone is awesome but it will turn quite hot when play intensive games for quite some time. The red light issue looks sudden from what i read from the internet but mine happen when Im playing Real Racing 3. Hope I can fix this issue by following the fixes on the internet. I think this issue is more of a design fault then a software one. sad.gif

I'm not sure.Should be fixed permanently.
If you really want to give LG Malaysia SC a call ask whether you can disconnect the battery or not.
If they allow you so do so then go ahead & open your phone. But remember unlike some Samsung's cheapskate backcover, Nexus 4's backcover connected to some antenna parts. So be careful when you take it apart.
Glass will break. It's the physical character of glass.
No matter what fancy word manufacturers use to describe the glass it'll break if appropriate force applied to it.
Just use a decent bumper or cover to minimize the damage.

My Nexus 4 is an ap set from ipmart. Maybe i should contact them about the problem hmm.gif But the fix on youtube looked easy.

Yes, what i read was just remove the screw which gives too much pressure on the connection will do.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2128392

Is it possible reason the u got red light of death issue because of the heat ? (thermal expansion theory,热胀冷缩) which either the connecting bridge/screw expanded and gives more pressure on it ? Just my assumption.
*
Yeah that is my assumption too because the nexus 4 can get quite hot during intense gaming sweat.gif

Hopefully you can solve your problem real soon!
I've been thinking what if i leave my phone charging overnight. Afraid of overcharging it, do not know whether it will caused the problem or not .  rclxub.gif

Timing of this issue is so great when I was suppose to cod with my sp and casing seller tomorrow and now I am doubting if I should even get the case and sp now cry.gif

Okay! Do update with us after your fix! biggrin.gif
Btw, what if you leave it charging? The device also left unresponsive?
*
Well looks like I accidentally fixed it hmm.gif I was booting into recovery but recovery can only stay when using direct charger. Then I backup my phone and then restore it back. After that I just booted as normal but it auto shut again. After that I power on again and the device worked. Hope I won't have this problem again. Will still be purchasing a torx scredriver just in case sweat.gif
