Yup,catchable...but you must be fast...sometimes they limp over you while you are still setting the trap

When they are in the trap...using your weapon to damage them also counts as trapping

Yup...same experience here... After 2 tranq still not enough I hemtam him some more with hammer then he fell asleep

Speaking about traps....
I was at port quest...hunt an a.rathalos
Fight until he cabut to sleep,on my last life,low health
I set a trap next to it
Suddenly it woke up by itself,but not yet trapped
I run...it screamed...
I got stunned ,only it stepped into the shock trap
When I recover from the stun,I rush back and threw 1 tranq bomb....hit...
Threw the 2nd one, it escaped before the tranq landed.....
Proceed to slaughter me

Concentrate on his beard when in area 1 & 2
Repelling is just a matter of surviving until time runs out
Last time I couldn't clear it too,until I used a hammer with dragon element...
But I forgot the hammer name
