this game is completely solo-able. in fact, you'd be a much better hunter if you solo all the way through G Rank. having said that, the game is much much more fun playing with a bunch of hunters. if you have no friend hunters - fret not, MHMG holds weekly meet-ups to hunt together-gether

the tavern is solo-able (in case you think that you can't access quests there alone)

if i am not mistaken, i saw Events in MHMG for Penang and Ipoh. do check out the FB Group. link on second post.
edit : mh4 is coming out for 3DS, confirmed for JP only at the moment. if it's your first MH game, just pick up MH3U, don't wait for MH4 This post has been edited by juwels: May 29 2013, 01:54 PM |

QUOTE(Rei7 @ May 29 2013, 01:54 PM) Solo might be a bit boring due to you playing alone. Requires more skills and is basically a good way to train yourself before playing with everyone else. the app is on Wii UYou can go online if you have a Wii with the help of an app. If not you could always ad-hoc with the other gathering members. You could also get a Wii U to play online if you have the extra $$$ |

QUOTE(kidlatdakila @ Jun 3 2013, 10:02 AM) I tried village jhen with low rank weapons... Not a good idea. lol. for jhen, you just need to break 6 parts and protect your ship.I improved my ice weapons and learned to properly use the gong and ballista binder. Finally defeated it. I still need to farm it though to improve my Eternal Hate. the breakable parts are - two spots on the spine, two tusks and the front two feet/arm. |

QUOTE(kidlatdakila @ Jun 3 2013, 10:30 AM) Oh... During the first part, I can easily break the two spots on the spine. Does it mean that I should use the dragon barrel bombs and ballista to target the tusks? I have a hard time with the tusks... yes, use the bombs and the ballista to break the tusks. during the final stage, you can also shoot ballista to break tusks. i usually shoot 20 ballistas during final stage before going towards him to break his arms. |

QUOTE(kidlatdakila @ Jun 3 2013, 10:37 AM) Thanks Sensei Juwels. haha, i am not sensei This means it is useless to attack the spine after I have destroyed the two "cracks". I should stop attacking the spine and focus my ballista on the tusk then. usually i will try to break everything before i focus on pure damage |

it is painful. i think i tried mhfu a handful of times and hated the controls SO much. when i finally went back to it again, and patiently tried - found it to be not that bad. in fact, it's almost natural to me now....
