i was using giggi set with bombardier gemmed in. didn't have part breaker. the whole thing took about 30 mins. careful his fire breath - one hit die i think with ceadeus set (part breaker, bombardier and HGE) it would be faster.

for bow - make sure you charge your shots to the max before you shoot. pierce shots work well with him. when the arrows begin to dip down, damage becomes lesser and lesser so make sure your distance is correct (try to hit him before arrows arc down)

for bowgun - don't shoot from too far. the ideal distance is about 2 - 3 rolls away. shoot pierce, or bring a fire gun.

low rank just stick with leather armor, high rank get jaggi armor. G rank then start farming properly
i started bowing only in G Rank, not sure what's good as beginner bow

volvidon is a good starter armor for G Rank. narga is good as all purpose gunning/bowing armor.

between the two, narga better. don't need to try both

narga gunner good for ppl who are trying to get comfortable with gunning, since got evasion +2, evasion distance, sneak. once comfy with bow/lbg/hbg then can start specialising

i didnt watch, but hope it helps

bows shoot in an arc. the arrows curve upwards, then fall down. you should aim to hit monsters before the arrows curve downwards. pressing R assists you to see the arc.

i don't like using the R tho, i find it distracting and slow. what i did was i took the bow to moga village and i kept practising until i roughly know how far i need to be for my arrows to connect
