when you start the game, you need to go through quite a fair bit of tutorial. after that you can jump online the server downtime is only one hour anyway

reminder to everyone : please add friends via Miiverse instead of on the Friend List.

if you add through Friend List, both parties need to add each other before they become friends.

if you add through Miiverse, the other person receives a Friend Request Notification, and they just have to click Accept.

Guild Cards are good for several things - the more you play with players who you have registered Guild Cards with, the more "partnership points" you gain. You will get some tickets from the Drunk Man at Port Tanzia, and these tickets can be exchanged with goodies (in mhp3 you can exchange for gems!!!)

You can also "spy" what your registered mates are doing by looking at their Guild Cards. to access this, press Minus at Port Tanzia, click Guild Card, click the last option (Card List or something like that). Select the Card you want to scrutinize, and press L/R to turn pages.

the person who created the room is considered a Host. once the Host leaves, everyone in the room returns to Lobby.

the voice chat is a boon - no need to type and run and hunt at the same time. can chat and scream HOI CUT TAIL!! very fun

however, i still have a usb wireless keyboard attached to my wii u for chatting in case i meet shy people who don't wanna voice chat

the voice chat sometimes got never-ending echo tho. usually i will turn off my mic for a few seconds and turn it back on again. that works for me.

yeah, you have to complete quest alone when disconnected

don't worry woh, we're pretty quiet whilst on the hunt. depending on mood. my weapon, GONON doesnt really talk

you mean the Guild Card option? i think you need to be in a room with hunters for that option to be available. adding you to the front page
