I tried village jhen with low rank weapons... Not a good idea. lol.
I improved my ice weapons and learned to properly use the gong and ballista binder. Finally defeated it.

I still need to farm it though to improve my Eternal Hate.

for jhen, you just need to break 6 parts and protect your ship.
the breakable parts are - two spots on the spine, two tusks and the front two feet/arm.

Oh... During the first part, I can easily break the two spots on the spine. Does it mean that I should use the dragon barrel bombs and ballista to target the tusks? I have a hard time with the tusks...

yes, use the bombs and the ballista to break the tusks. during the final stage, you can also shoot ballista to break tusks. i usually shoot 20 ballistas during final stage before going towards him to break his arms.
