i am going on ADHOC with my MH2PG friends.. they just bought the 3ds for MH3U (i poison them) .. going adhoc with them tonite in Aman Suria, i missed those days psp ad hoc as well

For capturing, i always capture them when they are sleeping for 100% confirm catch.
But when they start to limp and move to other area = catch-able edi?

Yup,catchable...but you must be fast...sometimes they limp over you while you are still setting the trap

you can always wait till they are asleep and then wake em up..& catch...always works...

I always do that.
Set trap beside them when they are sleeping. Shock them awake and throw the red bomb.
But sometime its mafan if they rest at area 8 and i already weaken them at area 4.
They need to limp a few area only reach they sleeping place and kinda accidently kill them.

Capturing monster always have more loot than killing them?

some item can only be aquire thru catching. some items need to be carve. varies for every monster. but for uber rare items capturing seems to give higher chance...

i always prefer catching when solo... save me 3-4 minutes and minimize risk of being killed...

that epic moment when you only bring 2 tranquilizer bomb and 2 trap.

1 trap and 2 tranquilizer..
And after battling for almost 30 minute, the monster finally go to sleep.
Trap and throw the tranquilizer... and miss the second throw... DAMN!

When they are in the trap...using your weapon to damage them also counts as trapping

even without tranq??

i experience before where i trapped the monster and threw two tranq. didnt work. but after few slices it feel to sleep.

I still think it needs a tranq, happened a few times where it won't sleep.
Making it a bit weaker makes it fell asleep

I do remember watching a video, he trap and throw 2 tran but still didn't fall asleep. he than hit a few more time and they monster sleep.
Maybe just need to weaken it a little more to capture.
