QUOTE(xiaosin @ Aug 29 2013, 09:35 PM) US and A QUOTE(Skidd Chung @ Aug 30 2013, 12:55 AM) Can't be sure of the possibility but it doesn't seem to have any option to trade cards. Seriously i have no other friends playing Hearthstone to confirm this. |

It's a CCG (Collectible Card Game), not a TCG (Trading Card Game). So as far as I know, there's no trading possible.

Since it's Blizzard that we're speaking of here, there's a big chance that they'll want to monetize the entire experience like what they've did to Diablo 3. |

Pay $$$ new decks...The decks currently are vanilla only. Later expansion pack more $$$ |

I don't know about you guys but I think Blizz is putting themselves in a contradicting position.anyways paying for cards is quite normal imo, they need to earn some money to further develop the game esp when this is a f2p game? On one hand, they're marketing Hearthstone as a quick-simple-to-grasp card game that leans away from all the complexity shared by their TCG/CCG brethren such as MtG. On the other hand, it's very clear that the only logical path to have the game continuously developed & maintained is to charge consumers for newly released cards (unless they come up with some unique kind of subscription) which will inadvertently introduce new mechanics & meta into the game. This usually spell disaster for newcomers who picked up the game late as they'll have quite a lot of info to learn before they can confidently jump into the game. |

They can always defer new mechanics to TBC expansions and above, and keep vanilla accessible to newcomers.I remembers new generation of MtG cards have failsafes against legacy cards. |

I know what you're trying to convey here but my point is, Blizz is marketing the game as a simple game but it's inevitable that it will get more & more complex down the road. I remembers new generation of MtG cards have failsafes against legacy cards. Oh well, maybe it's just me being too speculative, especially considering the fact that I've yet to even touch the game. |
