portapro isnt exactly as good a bargain as the ksc75 was

But I think I preffer the 75's. Don't really remember since it was a year back I tried it

portapro is way too boomy imho, the bass isnt neccessarily better, but merely more quantity

But yeah. More bass doesn't really mean that it's better. But still. Nice to listen to techno (what alamak like to call AhBeng-ish music ).

Or try watching a movie with a lot of scenes where things go "boom!". You'd soon get a headache using the portapro

no lar, i didnt mean techno = ah bengz I love techno myself. it's just that people want only bass but they cant distinguish good bass from crappy bass jsut because they listen to techno. phones like the grados do very well in techno, with quality bass, not ah bengz bass

I know what you mean about the bass though. Some stores in a certain area that rhymes with soo ng ai whar ng, the bass is pumped up so high you can barely make out what they're actually playing. Which makes it quite annoying coz some techno can be really good. And they manage to spoil it with their monstrous bass that distorts everything else. Might as well just listen to drum beats! Sheesh..

imho, only grados starting from sr225 and above are good for rock, techno, and other genre within the same/similar family. Anything below are OK but not particularly well. A little hard to put this in words...basically, if you want to get the best out of those music...get something that's 225 n above...if u want an introduction to the grado sound...then the sr60 is a good start (duh...)

i would skip SR60-80-120 and jump on SR-325i if i haf the dough when im werking. For now, my setup is better than SR60-120..i think..haha! Just it lacks BASS..hmm..

Finally I have a decent pair to fall asleep with Earclips = can sleep wit. Headband = die la wanna sleep with it
