An update. I've done a top overhaul on the engine, replaced the thermostat, replaced the radiator hoses with silicon hoses, replaced the radiator+engine pipe (manifold?). The only thing not replaced is the actual radiator, nor the fan.
The issue still remains. On a hot day, if I drive fast, I can keep the AC running, but if I stop at a light, temp will go very high and I need to turn the AC off, then temp goes to normal. On a cold day, everything is fine. The fan works.
I'm thinking of getting an oil cooler installed. The Proton workshop people can't figure out why it happens. Doing a top overhaul btw, really improved my fuel economy!
You have done a lot, but why not the fan? Of the thing you explained, all pointed to 1 issue -> cooling/fan. Not moving, temp goes up. When moving, temp ok. You should also change workshop, I would've Fire them for asking me to do all that without solving the problem. How much have you paid? The issue still remains.
