KK Lau got it but very rare case as some Audi and posh car user come to him to 'upgrade' their sound system.

those speaker are useless without using their own designed full system...get it as loose will not be as good as buying a spk designed to fit most system.

How about Mark Levinson? Or most high end speakers only works fine with in-house setup?
Anyway, Thank you for the info.

didn see this previously

if the equipment are not designed to fit in a specific car or system, then it will sound good in most car.

for example, hk in mini cooper will only sound good in that car, you use the spk alone pair with another amp in a camry, it wont sound better than an aftermarket speaker that cost the same price or maybe can say 40% lower...And most probably, it wont match with most of the amp out there.

OEM are meant to match with the designated car or system with certain special tuning, not for aftermarket mix and match. so sometimes ppl was too happy with some half cutted alpine or watever, you just tell them to test the aftermarket 1.

Thanks a lot for the explanation. It clear my doubt as I always think there are special tuning done by OEM producer to match the car's prestige.

I almost end up with Mark Levinson speaker set ;ast year as the offer is too good to resist but thinking of the above,
me end up with halfcut carrozeria setup with stock HU on my old ride. El cheapo setup cost less than RM600...lol.
Will join TT at your place so that I can get a decent setup to replace the stock speakers on my current lousy ride.
