i have a opty 170 and dfi ultra-d so if i buy 2x1gb corsair vs dr400 PC3200 ram can good overclock and stablity????

last time i saw they was using samsung UCCC + BP pcb.. if u can still find them, then is quite ok i think.. but make sure u can find those chip attached..

My suggestion is that you're better off getting some good high performance RAM by OCZ, Corsair and the likes as at least it's a known quantity, and my experiences with Corsair's VS series are never good. In fact KVR's with Hynix's are a better bet (Yes they do have 1Gb sticks with D43's on it)

i heard D43 is quite bad with 1gb stick.. is it true?..
dun have a chance to trry them b4..

irenic sold his pair of GSkill's which used D43's (Forgot the which version but I think was BT, need him to confirm this) which could do 255Mhz at classic Hynix timings. So that's kinda good for me you know?

how to check the corsair is samsung chip or not from the shop i need to buy from it????

ic.. but just like u said i think high performance ram, which can do more than 250 with tighter timing is still a great choice..
so if u got extra budget mr squall better off with high performance ram..
diff brand/model, diff chips, diff characteristics.. make sure u google something for this thing b4 buying..

just look at the chips..

the only value ram have spreaders were OCZ, and Geil..there are some others that i cant recall yet but didnt remember that Corsair got...

oh like maybe dont i thought most of the corsair memory module have heatspreader.....

OCZ value series also don't have heatspreaders bang. Only the Gold series onwards baru ada

err..u mean samsung TCCD & TCC5 ? ..hehehe..if u looking for that chip..i dont think corsair will apply that chip on value ram

I use a pair of Corsair VS 512mb*2 on my venice [corsair chip]. Perfomance? Hmm...never reach above 220MHz on default 2.5-3-3-8 timing

But dunno what's their perfomance on loose timing..never try it before.

it is not just samsung chip..
look here..
diff chip diff characteristic.. make sure u understand them first..

afaik corsair,apacer,PQi(value series) was using Brain Power pcb..
i'll prefer to buy this brand if it were value ram..
and if u can find any good chip attached, it'll be a great bonus..
