Currently they told me that they have vacancy for the oil field service department.. So If I am chosen than I will be based in that department.. I remember they mentioned something about drilling engineer..

hi.. For graduate trainee program, Bumi Armada will put you under supervision of respective department or division for 2 years. Mainly, Oil Field Services, Transport and Installation, Engineering (project), Engineering (Process), Engineering (Naval Architect), Engineering (Marine), Engineering (electrical and electronic), Safety and Health..

as for oil services, you will be exposed to exploration (survey), development (facilities and installation), production (FPSO) and abandonment (T&I) phases of the marginal oil field/brownfield projects. Most of the time as project engineer..

If you are lucky and talented.. You will able to achieve 5 figures salary if you seconded to project which outside Malaysia. Under my care there are 2 graduate trainees are enjoying that kind of salary+allowance.

There is no drilling engineer position, however for a petroleum engineering student there are position available under operation (FPSO). As you with mechanical engineering background, should be no problem to put you under graduate trainee of engineering, project etc.

what if I have mechatronics background. It is possible to join bumi armada also?

Yup, possible.. For fresh graduate, you will be under Electrical and Instrument engineering Graduate Trainee... that the most suitable field for you

'talented'? The truth is- it doesn't matter! What the hell different does it make? But the fact is, not all 'talented' people are cut out to be able to achieve 5 figures salary as i can tell you many stories about friends of mine who are really, really 'talented'- the most 'talented' people you can imagine- and yet they never made it. I don't know why, but maybe some 'talented' people are just not able to make it.

if i'm from a different field (semiconductor-test dept) with ~3years exp, what is the chances to be able to join bumi armada as experienced engineer instead of starting from zero (Grad Trainee)..

- EPCC of FPSO, FSO, Floaters
- Leasing of FPSO, OSV and its operators

For Fresh Graduates.. all are about qualification, personality and 1st impression..

Yes.. You can try.. When i was doing career fair recruitment, I looked only for CGPA 3.0 above (selective course) and High flyer SPM..

Did you apply for GDP?

Hi. I think you need to know at least what is about the company doing, get updated with the latest news about the company. You need to understand and know what is written in your CV, there is no standard questions they will ask i guess cause it really depends which department you will be based in, and the personnel from that department and HR will do the interview. Different department's personnel have different expectation and questions. Just make sure you are confident and don't lie. That's all. All the best.

I did the interview just now. It went well, well at least for me it did. Haha. The interviewer was nice. I even got the chance to have a chat with the SGM of their H.R. I was impressed with their way foward and how they look on stuff..

I will be going into supply chain and finance functions if that matters. I've passed their first stage interview but will only be attending their assessment centre in August. I've received offers from other companies so I need to know the salary offered to consider my choices.

Hi, I've passed the phone IV last week and will be attending aptitude test next week. I was wondering what kind of questions will be asked.

Wow. Thats cool. I still have not receive the schedule. I called her up yesterday in the afternoon. Somehow she picked up the call and said she was busy thats why there was a delay and she will send out the schedule by that day. Bro in your schedule is it based on name or how is it ? Is there anything in your schedule for Msc candidates ? Aptitude test is like verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning etc etc etc. you can google and see. 2 hours ?? Crazy.

thats weird. you got the initial email on the 2nd and replied on the 8th. I received the initial email on the 8th and straight away replied later on the evening. a week after (yesterday) i received an email with schedule. i am scheduled for the morning session at 830.

Funny thing though, i dont have any phone interview before i got invited to the aptitude test? same case for everyone?

Another round is Assessment day, consist of interview with direct manager, case study, group report writing, etc..
