I think Samsung should learn from them how to redesign their phones. China seriously have some very pretty phone here especially Lando X2. WTF when I just saw it I was thinking is that a Vertu?? Looks so luxury and classy lol much better than the s3/s4 design.

depend on your luck I guess? haha But well known China Manufacturer has actually got good quality build phones like ZTE or Huawei. Dropped my ZTE from the first floor rolling down the stairs and thup facing down. I tot it would have a spider crack but when I took it up there was only a line of scartch. My phone is even without Gorrila Glass, try that on Gorrila Glass phone
Aside of that as long as there are devs willing to make a ROM for the phone I guess I'm fine with it
Quality Wise, I find it dosen't differ much unless you bought those really really GOOD phone, with replaced interior with sand and a LED light. Then gotta say good luck XD
PS: I do love Samsung phones, their build quality is fine as well. Just think that they should release a line without plastics. For example HTC One and the Xperia Z was one of those great designs ^^
Nothing is perfect I guess? But for long term like you said the issue that I think consumers will face most is sending back for warranty. Time consuming and costy at times.

Personally, I'm OK with Samsung, I just feel that sometimes they're phones are overrated. In terms of build quality, they're not much different than most China phones I've used, they're loaded with apps, most which are rarely used, and the only thing they have going for them are they're branding, reputation and marketing. Don't get me wrong, I don't think they're phones suck. It's just that if Samsung were to buy a no name phone and slap they're logo on it, it would still sell really well.

Xiaomi pawns HTC and Samsung with Xiaomi M2S!  Snapdragon 600 CPU + waterproof nanocoating + the Vanilla Android of China, MIUI + Best optimised software.

Sometimes the manufacturer is probably just happy to ship a few million units and doesn't want world domination.

Simple. Take a look at the UMi X2. It has specs that match the Xperia Z's, (Albeit a slightly weaker processor) and it's approximately RM1100 cheaper. The point is I like China phones because they offer premium specs for a cheaper price.
