Dear Sir,

Good Morning, the ELCB (old name) & RCCB (new name)  is the same.

The Maxguard MCB quality is ok if for private house usage. If compare with
Schneider & Hager, then this is sure the Schneider & Hager's quality is better.  smile.gif

here is my prob. currently the rccb below provided by house developer enjoys tripping like nobody business especially during thunderstorm. so in order to isolate the root cause. i had wiring at home checked. fixed the issue with contact on db and replaced the degraded fuse switch caused by electrical arching due to loose contact with L wire from TNB. same time fixed the badly physically damaged 5ft earthing conductor by replacing with new one 8ft long. yet still prob still persist during lightnings. on normal days even rainy days there are no trips use heavy duty machinaries at all power points in the house. problem only occurs during loud lightnings.

can you suggest which rccb is consider the best against nuisence tripping during lighting. how is quality between hager rccb 100mA vs schneider domae rccb 100mA vs acti-9 series 100mA rccb. i won't mind paying more for better quality products but MOST importantly i want my nuicense tripping solved. thanks in advance.
