I am sure 4.2.2 is much better than 4.1.2, at least it was for my Nexus 10. I don't recall any battery issue at 4.1.2 or 4.2.2, at least 4.2.2 fixed Nexus 10 hanging issue on 4.1.2
Also I had try out AOKP/AOSP of 4.1.2 and 4.2.2 in my S III, both run same stable, they is no less stability on 4.2.2 compare with 4.1.2.

Design - Main attraction to it sleek beauty design.
Screen Panel - Mine was 13W09 AAC and after checking, it was Sharp panel. Viewing Angle is not that good as expected, it was right color and shine in correct angle, wording is extremely sharp. Did the viewing angle bothering? It do in certain occasion but rarely affected. But still it was better if Sony pick better panel with great viewing angle, example SLCD3 panel. The good thing here was there is no any single color banding issue as happen in S III.
Bravia Engine - This is something really cool, by turning it on, the color was extremely punch up, it actually much vibrant than my previous S III, but it color output was nice and life like, not fake coloring like in S III. Too bad the Bravia Engine by default only working in it own Album & Movies apps. They is not functioning if you use 3rd party apps, example QuickPic.
Loudspeaker - It actually quite ok for me, it sound alright just a bit not loud enough for noisy environment, and place at bottom right was easier accidentally get cover by hand, once cover, it was nearly mute.
UI Design - This was the most well define and beauty UI I ever seen in Android phone.
UI Friendly - Even though it was solid beauty but friendly here can't compare with TouchWiz launcher.
Features - It was not as rich as Samsung did, but all basic function was there. I personally find it small apps was much better than Samsung Multi-Windows function.
Smoothness - It was smooth, far better than S III or Note II, but still not match stock pure Android in Nexus 4 smoothness.
Issue I face:
The Wi-Fi connection seems weak and a bit not stable.
Lastly, junsheng, need your favor, can add me to owner list at 1st page? Thanks.
the wifi problem seems to be an issue for others as well ppl on xda have several type of solution like disabling the power saving mode (edit a file) to changing the antennae strength ??
but this usually will consume more battery power
I have had issues with the wifi so cant really elaborate more
Ya, my friend buy earlier last week also told me that, and XDA forum also mention about it.
I haven't root yet, probably soon but not now, just get it yesterday night.
My WiFi is very good in all the locations I have been. I'd say if it is a problem, better return it for replacement or checking and not try to fix it yourself as possibility is hardware issue
It not drop, just I find when I load same page or downloading something, it was far slow than my Nexus 10, and my WiFi hotspot so near me, sometimes it not show full bar, especially when wake up from sleep, it take about few seconds before full bar. I notice they is a power management control on WiFi at Nexus 10 and it can be disable, but I can't find this function at Xperia Z.
I didn't on Stamina mode yet.
* So far I not regret getting it.

erm, why my xperia Z wifi cant search for my iphone hotspot??
I think it was iPhone issue, last time when i bought Nexus 10, and that guy only got iPhone, I need to try the internet, but I also failure connecting to it iPhone hotspot, that guy even restart the phone also same.
Hi, benny888, is this Z got notification light? I notice it seems don't have? I purposely call my phone and let it miss call, but didn't appear any notification light blinking. I only seen it light up when charging.
The LED notification will not work if you have selected Stamina mode on If stamina mode is off, and still does not work - there is recommendation you do a factory reset My LED notifications works fine with stamina mode off
Out of topic question : What is this tagging of user name ?? Any purpose ? I see my name being tagged at several threads but I am not even aware about it until I see it .
I think is for the person get tag easier to see. Nothing much useful beside this. Haha!
I'm using the docomo skin/settings mod + lightflow (paid), in stamina mode (lightflow + whatsapp on exception list), I still get whatsapp notification + led alert.
I try light flow (light version) also not working, going to reset my phone soon...
TBH everyone is just pixel peeping at the moment. Staring at photos at 100% 1:1 pixel zoom to see which is clearer and all.
Sony's camera software is very notorious for their heavy noise reduction applications. The result equates to being blur and less details.
To the person who was asking. If you want the straight answer, ip5's default shots carries more details than the xperia z's default shots (from the stock camera).
TBH, this is a phone, you don't need 13 mpix.. even my SLR photos I resize them down to 1-2mpix to be distributed, and this is coming from a full frame 5dm3.
If you want good shots, just buy a Sony RX100, that is the best camera quality money can buy for that size of the thing. Could be a Stamina mode issue. Try switching that off to see if it works without Stamina mode. Next update should fix it.
I didn't on the stamina mode, I even try on on off off, same.
Hmm.. weird... not sure what else I can advice tbh.. Yes. The RX100 sports a sensor the same size as the one found on the Nikon 1 series of mirrorless cameras.. except that the RX100 has a built in zoom lens that retracts into the body when switched off, making it very small. Getting OT a bit here.. LOL.. For further reading: Sony DSC RX100 Hands-on Preview
