Black definitely shows fingerprint clearly than the other colors, get a good anti fingerprint sp if you are getting black.

White screen washout is not true as all has the same screen in a batch.

Look-wise, very subjective depends on individual. For me personally I like black as it makes the whole glass piece looks very minimal and clean (in fact I m thinking of removing the front anti shatter sp to remove the Sony logo!)...white/purple will be nice if the whole front and back are full white/purple, not half black half color. Although my favorite color is purple, this purple is not the purple I like. Furthermore I really dont like the faded pig-skin like color at the edges of the purple design. The dark steely blue on the black is just perfect for me, reminds me of my sleek blue razor phone I have last time.

otherwise it is a good bargain compared to Z. Looked at some forumers complaining the loosen flaps and bla bla bla..

I think his power button problem is an isolated case as I didn't hear anyone else having it, and my power button is fine

What are your priorities? If you care more about bling and showing off like dunking your phone for no reason into a bowl of water and such by all means go with the Z if you don't mind paying for extra. I'm choosing the ZL because it's smaller so it fits better in pockets, and the curved textured rubber back offers better ergonomics and just feels more comfortable to hold and those annoying flaps mandatory to make Z watertight going to get loose or broken in few months, I just can't live with that.

if u have money.better choose Z.actually first i'm interested in ZL..but i dont know,i'm getting z.have been used it from 14/3...so far i think this is the best smartphone i ever have...everything is fine.fast....no prob at all...but bare in mind not everything perfect...so the thing thats make xperiz z not perfect is :

1) the quality of speaker.average quality.(guess because it's waterproof)

2) fast to get hot (the processor is quad-core)

3) the camera (the sensor is best but camera software from sony not really good) for the camera Iphone did a great job even using exmor r instead of sony use exmor RS.

and the best part is what i love about this phone i wash it everyday.this is the first ever in my life i wash my electronic device everyday with axion.

The first problem is more of an OCD problem than anything else

Oh another reason I chose ZL is the loudspeaker performance is excellent since anyone being harping about low volume on the Z, that is one thing I can't stand at all because I HATE bad speaker and low volume because tons of cheap laptops nowadays come with a speaker resembles a mouse try to squeak. With big display and good speaker I put tons of movies on it and watch it on the go

It's all self preferences, there are no perfect devices so live with some sacrifice to gain another.

I used my book voucher to buy a 9000mah power bank for RM299 at Radio Shack. Dvalo brand. Can fully charge my XZ from 0 to 100% twice with a tiny bit left somemore. full charge in 2 hours and 40mins. Fully charge the powerbank takes about 9 hours.

Zzzzzzzz bumpers still malaysia customs.. Did another batch of ZL case, sp (limited) & z sp... Next week reaching...

Tomorrow need to work for demo..another 2 weeks to go

Ok.. here's a bit of review after 2 days using the phone... the phone is smooth as butter... but camera start up is a bit laggy... i wonder if it's software issue....

camera: you'll only get the maximum of 12 megapixel if you are snapping in superior auto and with HDR on... if you wanna snap in 13 megapixel, u'll have to off the HDR and choose normal mode... Maybe sony can fix this in the upcoming update (mind you i was using the phone start out of box, not firmware update yet)

battery life: i'm a moderate user... didn't use my phone to browse the web... only standby to receive calls and sms.... so, i dun think i can comment much on it...

heat issues: there's a significant heat issues on the phone as well but not as hot as HTC one X... my wife is using HTC one X and her phone is pretty hot when in heavy use... mine seems ok

call quality: i think it's standard...

wifi signal strength: could be better... clearly my wife's HTC one X receive more signal compare to mine... i'm jelly

viewing angle: could be better

resolution: it's awesome... but i have this problem that the last page of my apps, the lighting is dimmer compare to others... when ever i scroll to the last page of my apps... the light is dimmer... kinda unnoticeable at first... but then i found out... i wonder if it is software issues... pls fix it Sony...

On the other note, ZL remote control app is pretty cool. At first I thought it only supports Sony devices but there is tons of supported devices there. I have yet to find the right one to control Astro
