im looking for alarm for my dst corner lot. Paradox is ok but on expensive side and does not have gsm capabilities.
Found this Chuango G5 . All wireless sensor and quite cheap . mudah.my selling around 600 bucks only and best of all i can plug in sim card for control .

Any one using it ? mind to give some comment on:
1-reliability
2-false alarm
3-sensor battery life.

thanks smile.gif

We are selling Bluguard + Senzo Wireless Alarm System.
How it works??
Install the bluguard control panel and keypad, connect Senzo Alarm interface and use Senzo wireless alarm sensor.
There are few safety feature built-in this alarm system:
- Sensor is using rolling code with checksum (Anti Hijack)
- Sensor Battery 2xAA, can last for 2 year
- Panel will indicate which sensors battery running low or out
- Can integrate with Smart Switch (e.g.: Alarm trigger, specific light on)

Hi pg84,

How much you bought for the whole set?
Do you know what is the maximum range (area) it can cover? Can it cover the range of a double storey 22 X 70? hmm.gif
Any false alarm till now?

Why PM price, post here. We forumers must try to practice transparency. Then only we can demand our so call "government" to follow!
Anyway, I'm using blugard wired system & it's very stable but not recommended for you to use it as a wireless system because it's too costly. It's just not design to go wireless.

All the branded alarm is expensive. Only China DIY is cheap. Guess we have to wait for our friend to install first! Dunno my clients can wait or not! sweat.gif

hi . i bought direct from china. The max range is 80m with no obstacle .I think should be sufficient for DST.
Actually i decided to take the risk to go china brand cos there isnt a branded gsm ( except magellen : too expensive man ) in the market .Its discrete cos it sends sms instead of calling.Btw asthetically this model looks good.So just gip it a try la biggrin.gif
Now waiting to install after my renovation complete next week. tongue.gif

I'm actually using it but it's a G3 n using with 2 pcs motion sensor. Reliability yes. Havent had any problem over one year using. Never had false alarm n battery just replace in 10 months or a year. Using with digi super long life prepaid. The thing I like about is it can be control remotely via my iPhone n it is a two way communication. Just no complain.

Hi pg84, can the G3 support different zones e.g. zone 1 for ground floor & zone 2 for 1st floor ?

Btw, does the G3 main panel have a keypad as I don't see it in the brochure pictures ?

I am using G5 and RF 315 Mhz version , so far so good , I do not experience any interference with other devices.

1 )The system is totally DIY , very easy and support up to 50 wireless accessories and most of the set up by SMS .
2) You even can name your own zone name up to 9 zones e.g. , Zone 1 : Ground Floor Main entrance ..Zone 2 : Kitchen Smoke Alarm
3) Iphone and Android free application : Status of alarm , Armed , Disarm ..
4) You can call up and leave a message in the main G5
5) RFID tag to disarm the G5 or even configure the tag with SMS message ..eg one RFIG can name as Johnny ,,,so whenever Johnny back at home and using the RFID to disarm the alarm , the G5 will send a SMS to your phone that Jonny is check in ..cool
6) G5 can be used as door access system with the optional door accessories
7) Smoke alarm from the same supplier can be used as independent or connected to the G5 system .ie when a smoke alam is triggered ..A SMS will send to my phone : Kitchen Smoke Detector Trigger ! ( this SMS can be configured by you )

You can buy all the above online and you save about 50 % if were you buy from local distributor ( Jalan Pasar ) .

I don't understand what you meant by international version , you have the option to buy any version , I am using RF 315MHZ , just make sure all your accessories are in same RF for compatibility and make sure all from the same manufacturer Chuango.

Hi, Khor,

A quick question. Are you happy with voicememo, intercom and phone/speed dial features of your Chuango G5 console? I received mine and the voice quality of the 10 second voicememo not only very poor (low recording bitrate), it's also very low in volume and is mixed with some low volume radio interference. It's even worse for the intercom, phone and speed dial features - the voice that comes out of G5 unit comes out with LOUD noise/radio interference and on top of it the far end (receiving end, the other party of the call) can only hear the radio interference, they almost can't hear someone speaking into Chuango G5 console. I did a bit of research into this problem with my console and found that Chuango might be having two versions of G5 console: older - the one that has the loud speaker only on the side of the unit and the newer - the one that also has the "Buzzer" holes on the back of the unit. Could you please comment on how happy you are with the futures I mentioned and if the back of your G5 unit has the "Buzzer" holes as depicted on the attached picture?

Thanks,
~LC

I have the same problem you faced ,but not really bother me , I rarely use , what is important is the SMS features .
Another problem is the tiny beautiful remote seems to have very low range response and I even have a repeater installed. mad.gif

At first also looking at G3.
But then I was satisfied with the G5 outlook and functionality. rclxms.gif
The basic set was RM630 (touch pad control panel x1, pet immune pir x2, normal pir x 2, magnetic door sensor x1, vibration sensor x 1 ). This price is acceptable to me. However, I know that you can buy it online with much cheaper price. Just that personally, I am noob on electronics, and I prefer I see the thing physically before I buy. laugh.gif

I installed already, so far so good.
The main panel sound is loud enough. But seeing that this thing is installed indoor, I doubt that neighbours can hear it when it sounds. So I might add an extra siren panel outdoor. This can be linked to the control panel, which means both will sound simultaneously when triggered. But I just went to Jalan Pasar for this yesterday, no stock until after CNY. shocking.gif

Currently just install one magnetic sendor at front door and one at back door.
Mine is a double storey terrace house. Upstairs still no time to check connectivity.
Regarding the sensor battery level, need to check with distributor.
If not mistaken, can last for 8mths. tongue.gif

Someone has already installed the SPS-260 Solar Siren with the Chuango G5 ? There's no reaction when I press the learn button. At first I
thought it was not charged, so I leave it one week charge at the sun and I retry today. But it's the same.
It's strange because I have no problem installing the other siren (WS-108).
Thanks smile.gif

Not sure about it.
But I think there a re 2 version of Chuango G5.
One type is international, another one local (China).
If buy in Taobao, I think it will be the local version.
I think there will be some difference of plug and SIM, but overall features will be same.
And since you are not so well verse in Mandarin, I think it will be safer to buy in Jalan Pasar.
Just my 2 cents. smile.gif

I saw a package selling at RM3399.
1. G5 main controller x1
2. Wireless magnetic/ door contact sensor x10
3. Wireless motion detectors x1
4. Wireless outdoor siren x1
5. Wireless smoke detectors x1
6. Indoor camera x1
7. Outdoor camera x1
8. Wireless remote control x2
9. Wireless RFID x2
10. Installation and commission

This package is different with the original standard package. I guess the sales has modify it by adding extra sensors and 2 CCTV cameras. Not sure whether this price is considered reasonable.

all i can say this system working perfectly for me...
the remote...u can turn off the alarm before entering the house easily..i was thinking the remote need to very near the control panel in order to turn on/off... so is a good sign
the control panel is easy to control...you can buy extra siren, placing a few area instead normal alarm only have one siren.
so far no false alarm. only my mistake placing the PIR sensor in facing the window.
the PIR works very well and very sensitive.

so now i just need to buy more sensor to add on.

if false alarm..you can turn off the alarm and call back to listen to your home surrounding to make sure is clear from intruders...

but the best way is...add one camera than can turn 360 degrees to monitor. i think they call it IP camera...Dlink have quite a nice product. ..now just waiting for Telekom to install my streamyx..so i can purchase the camera.

Dear all,

This is just to inform you that there is now an app available (eAlarm) for the Windows Phone that gives you full control over the Chuango G5 alarm system.

The app is compatible with all Windows Phone versions.

The app can be downloaded from the link below:

http://windowsphone.com/s?appId=c3be3d61-e...2c-399d8e7ea139

Please note that this app is made by a third party and is in no way affiliated with Chuango.

so, only wireless alarms has gsm dialer.. However, if you want wired alarm with gsm but you cannot find one or it is too expensive, what you can do is buy whatever brand of wired alarm if you don't have existing wired alarm, and then, you buy this extra device called gsm auto dialer ...

one example is like this
http://www.hkvstar.com/item/gsm-auto-dialers.html

all you have to do is plug the alarm's phone output, into this device.. this thing just change phones signal (pstn) into gsm.

everything else is working fine.

hi . i bought direct from china.
Now waiting to install after my renovation complete next week. tongue.gif

Well I think this is the fake Chuango. Because from the Chuango website i found that the original one having logo at the center of the LED light, box not the black colour which never mention Chuango but only stated brand as "Security" and the logo also different(original without the smile face). I somehow quickly book one through Alibaba as they are having 11.11 promotion on yesterday and end up realized that something wrong with the look for the G5 i ordered. Quickly send a message to the seller and she claims that the G5 i bought is the old version which i don't think is truth!

Fake chuango just by the picture diff ? Hmmm....anyway I did open up the main panel n its genuine alright , the pcb will show it all if its a fake or not .

Mine still working fine , Im suprised that the battery for all the sensors could last so long . Its already 2.5 yrs !! n still working even for my 2 pir on the attic !!

The app is working fine n useful .

Only bad is the main panel speaker , busted few months ago n the power adaptor spoilt last month . But its easy repair which I did myself . Overall im very satisfy with it .

I just saw that there is a new version B11 with lcd display . Looks cool.

Hey guys,

Would like to ask if the G5 can be used without SIM, maybe just for siren alert or it wouldn't work at all?

If SIM is compulsory then what kind of SIM do I need to get because it'd be difficult if I need to pay monthly just for a SIM to have it work cry.gif

Help pls.

Thanks

Found this Chuango G5 . All wireless sensor and quite cheap  . mudah.my selling around 600 bucks only and best of all i can plug in sim card for control .

Any one using it ? mind to give some comment on:
1-reliability
2-false alarm
3-sensor battery life.

1.6k is not expensive based on the item ur getting above. I think u can customise and reduce the cost , buy only wat u need.
From the outlook n functionality i got a feeling chuango n etiger comes from the same factory ....reliability shouldnt be a prob....mine close to 3 years now , even the sensor batteries still strong .

All equipment is wireless requires batteries. Only main control unit and alarm need power source, of course it comes with backup batteries. For the alarm, there is an option for solar powered alarm.

I just got my G5 from Taobao, but it just 'hanged' when I send in sms, or do anything related to the network (like calling). The seller insisted it is the sim card related problem, and it need a "2G" sim card. May I know anyone face the same issue? or is the unit faulty? I have tried all the maxis, digi, celcom, all cannot work..

Hi,

Mind to share how much the cost of "Motion Detector"? You bought the PIR-900 or PIR-910 (Pet Immune)?

By the way, where did you place the vibration sensors? I am thinking of attach them on the grille/window inside the bedroom (grille is inside the bedroom)... is this the correct way of placing them? Or shall I get the PIR-910 montion detector, thus, any one comes near the window, the alarm will buzz..

I am thinking of getting the G5 system from Melecops, Jalan Pasar, Pudu as well:
1) the G5 system set comes with:
• one CG-G5 Control Panel
• one DWC-100 Wireless Door/Window Contact
• one PIR-900 Wireless PIR Motion Detector
• two RC-80 Wireless Remote Control
• two TAG-26 RFID Tag
Quoted RM793

2) additional three door sensor DWC-102
Quoted RM51 x 3 = RM153

3) additional five vibration sensor WD-80
Quoted RM59 x 5 = RM295

4) additional one outdoor alarm WS-280
Quoted RM276

Total cost RM1517

OR a cheaper similar set-up found in lelong.com that cost about RM550.... http://www.lelong.com.my/ast-gsm-wireless-...7-01-Sale-I.htm hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif
Thanks in advance!

I bought 2 X PIR 910 RM96 per piece. All the vibration sensor i put on the window because from outside the thief need to access the window first before it comes to the grill. However it may be to sensitive to wind, lightning and some people maybe annoyed with the false alarm. You can adjust the sensor's sensitivity though. If you bought a lot of sensors from melecops you can kowtim for cheaper price. I paid RM53 for 6 vibration sensor. Door sensor for RM46 for 2 piece for your info.

Thanks for the info, will try to negotiable with melecops.

Mine room's window comes with 4 panels, if I place the vibration sensor on each panel, I have to place 4 sensors on one window... there are 5 windows (5 x 4 panels... I need 20 sensors!)... thus, I choose to have 1 sensor on the grill (instead of 4). Btw, maybe can consider put the PIR 910 between the gap of window and grill.

As for the glass sliding doors and wooden doors, just need the 1 door sensor on each door will do, right?

Been following this with interest.

For the vibration sensor, I think you only need to put on the piece nearest the window latch, cos that's the one the thief will be likely to break. Not every piece.

Oh my 4 panel window. Mine just 2 panel and I just put one near the latch. The sensor is sensitive enough to detect vibration at the highest sensitivity even if the theif open the other latch. Also don't put the PIR facing the window or any source of light.

Thanks for your feedback.

Look like I have to attach the vibration sensor to the grill (not at the window) and PIR is not suitable to be installed near the window.

Hi interested to buy this as well. Can give a review of the product?
Does it work with the wireless solar alarm from Chuango (SPS-260)?

bought from dhgate.com direct seller from china. Delivery roughly a weeks from china to KL.
Cost 1700++ including delivery. This is custom set I request from seller.

Etiger 433Mhz

I dont use Solar Alarm from Chuango, but I do use the outdoor Siren from Chuango

Been using almost 3 to 4 months now. Only motion sensor inside living hall need to replace battery, the rest no problem.
Using Tr0n SimCard. Validity 1 year.

Overall performance I give it 7 of 10. Very good. Low maintenance. Hassle Free.

Now, my project to install Xiaoyi Ants Camera smile.gif

Hi guys, bumping this thread
May I get some clarification on a few things

1) I noticed the G5 model sold at taobao for only +rm500.
What I would like to know is if their product is region locked to china only (if I buy from taobao china) or it can be used internationally?
Or I can just buy from there and install G5 app from google play/app store?

I'm more interested to get the G3 model though since it's cheaper

There's even a cheaper one, OX + model. But it doesn't like there's an english app for that yet.

Wish to check, recently did anyone buy Chuango product directly from China, and manage to work with local SIM card?
