so far i have narrowed down to two brands according to my budget....so would like some advise to choose either one. Continental or good year( model NCT 5 not sure). unfortunately i dont know the model for this two brand as the dealer just quoted me according to the price which is from rm275/pc to rm290/pc. 16"
which would be better? more to driving in town an occasionally outstation. thank you

Bro, whats your tyre size? You can try to ask for Yokohama C-Drive 2. Good mix of comfort and performance. Mid-performance compared to say Conti Comfort Contact 5 which is entry level only.

QUOTE(mosh @ Mar 18 2013, 04:14 PM) i think ducaro GA perform better than nct 5. eh.. hi maDmAN ! well thanks for the head up. err im currently using nct 5 but never really did felt the danger although i didnt really like the ride because its quite rough and bouncy. thats why im deciding to change to another brand which at the moment i think conti is the best according to my requirements which is comfort and good grip for wet. neway i just came back from lim tayar to ask around and i will never go back there again. first they gave a wrong price compared to couple of days ago when i first when. secondly this guys is trying so hard to make me change my set of rims instead of just the tires. 3rdly he quoted me nct 5 higher than conti mc5...can you believe this sh*t? i told him its impossible for nct5 to be higher than mc5...he said rubber price increase....my a**....

http://forum.autoworld.com.my/index.php?sh...1790&start=1790205/45R16 Brigdestone Potenza RE002 - RM400 Hin Leong (Feb 12) Goodyear F1 D5 - RM350 3S Specialists Ara Damansara (Feb-13) B+A+N.Gas Michelin PS3 - RM451 3S Specialists Ara Damansara (Feb-13) B+A+N.Gas Thunderer - RM215 Extreme Wheels Ampang (July 12) Toyo Proxes T1R - RM375 Hin Leong (Feb 12) Yokohama S-Drive - RM385 Hin Leong (Feb 12) Prices from AW Website. My personal suggestion is to check if Hankook V12 has your size. Its a cheaper alternative to Goodyear GD5. Your size, the tyres are mostly performance based, hence could be a reason why NCT5 is more expensive, but these sizes, the ride is a bit harsh.

You can also call up and ask - that's what I do, but you should know which model u want, say Goodyear GD5 and ask for specific price for your size. Save u time and petrol to go to the respective shops. Btw, what car are u driving with such an odd size tyre? This post has been edited by cfa28: Mar 19 2013, 08:55 AM

yay just change my tires...currently using continental mc5.....first impression i like the thread where there's 2 strips of lonkang for water threading, a little bumpy but ive yet to really take it for a real test as the workshop is only 5 mins away from my home. but i can feel the grip is good when taking corner as in the steering wheel is very responsive and noise level is low. but its still new. overall very satisfied wit it. thanks everyone for their opinion and well appreciated.
