Its EXEC, so it shd be the ABS that saved moi hmm.gif I guess if its my BLM, wld have left a long tyre trail and crashed ady doh.gif
*
I thought if dry road, non-ABS should have better stopping distance than ABS? hmm.gif

Anyhow...luckily nobody injured sweat.gif

QUOTE(lhwj @ Mar 19 2013, 08:06 PM)
Once the wheels lock up, the co-efficient of the tyres drop so the braking distance increases. Gaga's brakes are powderful enough to lock the wheels even in the dry. I believe given an ABS and non-ABS Gaga on the same surface, wet or dry, it's not possible for the non-ABS to stop faster than ABS if both apply full braking. Yet another reason I envy the FLX.

QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Mar 19 2013, 08:50 PM)
Well I'm thankful no one got hurt in that misadventure. Looks like the FLX's ABS and EBD are working fine. thumbup.gif
That is true only if you don't lock up the wheels. How many people are masters at pumping their own brakes manually, especially in an emergency? sweat.gif
*
So skidding is bad sweat.gif

I wonder if FLX+ would include ESC drool.gif

Dugong rattling sound in cabin = normal, car drive so many kilometer ady, sure got some vibration geh

Gaga rattling sound in cabin = manufacture defect, must use insuflex to fix it

Dugong 4AT broken = normal, 5 years car ady gearbox rosak is normal

Gaga 4AT broken = manufacturing defect. The day bought car ady know 1 day it will rosak, just wasn't expect it only lasted 5 years

Hongda Chitty iDSI CVT belt slip thoroughly, overhaul need 7k. Its normal coz the car been driven many years, spend 7k to repair is small price to pay for such comfort ride + fuel safe technology

GaGa implemented CVT 2 years ago, I already know someday it will rosak. Although until today still no trouble report, but I'm sure know soon all CVT owners will regret they bought such new tech from Plotong. Why? Coz Plotong never made it right, CVT will be 1 of them whistling.gif

Good deal for customers maybe but pity the technician doing warranty jobs..get paid less doh.gif

But claiming warranty is one the ways to 'give the finger' to the under-performing vendor.

Free from service? Try it lo. Haha. Apa lagi?
Last time the service rmb they give the wax and wash soap? I don't find it so useful. It says self drying but I don't really see much effect  icon_question.gif

Got this one free at COE as they received my previous feedback regarding engine sometimes hard/cannot start.

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Mar 28 2013, 10:32 AM)
more like freebies which will lead to costly repairs...

There's one picture of a BLM taxi engine oil pan which is full of sludge in Preve Club facebook page. Cause of the problem = <some brand> engine treatment.

edit: it was not oil pan... it was errr.... lower part of the engine which houses alll the turning stuff.
*
So Proton's solution is to create more problem hmm.gif doh.gif

Btw, that BLM taxi do engine treatment where? Surely not officially sanctioned by Proton hmm.gif

QUOTE(KIntos @ Mar 28 2013, 11:19 AM)
That stealth fuel injector cleaner suppose to be free 1x if cust complaint hard to ignition. Its under agong account.
*
Rather than buying direct from Proton Parts Centre, better let them know what's the problem and let them give for free sweat.gif laugh.gif

QUOTE(matmoto5125 @ Mar 28 2013, 05:08 PM)
Forgot about the part center. Will try there since near to Glenmarie. But I thought here can get kaki for cheaper member price lololol..
*
Maybe can call ahead and ask first...biar abis kredit, jgn abis minyak & masa sweat.gif

edit: Can try asking on facebook https://www.facebook.com/ProtonGenuineParts ...seems like they're actively responding to online queries now thumbup.gif

Calling COE may take a few attempts before getting through sweat.gif

When a Date & Time has been decided, make sure arrive at least 30 minutes early icon_rolleyes.gif

If want to walk-in, they start giving numbers around 7.45am and will start assigning SA around 8.00am.
