Guys,
My parents is complaining about the suspension, too soft. So it is possible to change to lowered spring while maintaining the stock absorber and stock tyre setup?
*
too soft? BLM or FL kah? ohmy.gif

you can put in lowered spring, but the stock suspension going to kong out faster than normal.

was my first car choice when I realized my Maxis job is more than enough to buy me a car, about 2 1/2 years ago.

One of these costs around 36k-40k second hand depending on condition, back then at the end of 2010.

lucky didn't have one or else I have already got blacklisted and have the car got towed away by bank during my "personal economic downturn" due to a series of unfortunate business fails from Q1 till Q3 of 2011.

QUOTE(dares @ Mar 18 2013, 10:46 PM)
Then why Gaga ultimately? when you came around from your "meltdown"

What could possibly possess you to love an old Hyundai  laugh.gif
*
Why Gaga? Coz it is new and by the time I am really ready to buy a car, the overall price for the Getz didn't drop much, so I viewed some 2009 BLMs. Found a black 2009 BLM around RM 32k but after some calculations, it will be wiser to top up a bit more for a new car rather than the second hand one. Then comes the announcement of FLX with CVT gearbox. Got inquisitive with it and might as well give CVT a try. laugh.gif

having grown up with korean cars since the early millennium, somehow I understood what makes a Korean car, a Korean car. It isn't particularly a good handling car, but yet it is still stiff enough to prevent unnecessary body rolls but at the same time the ride is comfy enough. The rubbish seats aside, everything in the Getz is splendid. The plastics isn't as dreary as those in the Saga in the first place. The 1.3L is dreary and very thirsty, but the newer facelift model with a 1.4 DOHC unit solves all the problem. It was the only Hyundai which is best value for money during that time when Hyundai is still churning out rubbish cars like the peanut eyed Sonata and the two spoke steering Hyundai Accident.

The Getz is still ok. There was a period when right after I rebound back from the "meltdown" I was looking at a range of Kia Spectra which costs less than 20k. LOL
Thank god I didn't get one of those.

maybe you should buy one, and experience the weirdest automatic gearbox ever to be put into a production car in human history. laugh.gif

It is as if the car has first and second gear then jumps to "fifth then sixth". Pressing the O/D button cancels off the "sixth" gear.

well, the FLX Exec does stop gracefully. laugh.gif

I still remember at MRR2 when the car in front suddenly become stationary. I also apply emergency brake. Manage to stop 2 inches behind the front car without any drama, compared to a Vios behind creating loud tyre screech sound and attracted lots of eyes. lol

if your daily drive exceeds 150km, the Persona is a much better, comfy ride but safety wise is slightly compromised.
