My other SIII bought for my youngest son as a gift, till today since july 2012 is still working fine. My son is a non tech guy and he has being using the original rom till last month. I upgraded his rom recently to latest official version when he was back home. He said why fix/upgrade it when it can fulfil his needs nicely ?? He has no complains at ALL on the phone and is very pleased even with the battery life. His other usage is mainly on emails, browsing, Facebook and Tweeters and some slight gaming only
He will only change it when the phone dies on him
His last phone and still in working condition Sony Ericsson W810 serves him well for past 6 years

That is why i always read such foreign blogs/specific brands website with lots of pinches of salt. Nothing beats personal evaluation of the product
I am not surprised that some of our local forumers here are associated with say Samsung or HTC or LG or Apple or Sony etc and their postings at times do reflect such a possibility
However just read all such stuffs intelligently and do not believe everything that is expressed

Seriously, I have one S3, and the performance is very bad (Well I don't really play games on phone so don't ask me about game performance.). I have to keep on deleting messages and uninstalling apps. Unlike HTC1 and IP5. Better think twice before buying Samsung again.

I have used S3, HTC One and ip5 and I'd say in no way S3 loses out to these 2 phones. Infact I'd recommend S3 over HTC1 anytime. IP5 is a different OS and users chooses this due to its own uniqueness as is different from Android

The Samsung W is indeed a laggy phone especially with TouchWiz as main UI. I have 2 friends using it and I tested it briefly. The S3 with 1 GB ram will definitely be much better than it
There is this Nexus 4 user who always said bad stuffs/very critical about Samsung phones and his last phone was this Samsung W. I don't really blame him for his poor impressions about Samsung after having used this model. He condemn the Touchwiz UI to hell literally versus pure Android UI in his Nexus 4 !!

My youngest son July 2012 purchased S3 suddenly die today. Unable to switch on. His phone unrooted n on stock rom. Told him to go and have motherboard change

I sent in my son's S3 today to Malacca Service center - motherbaord will be change FOC. Need to wait 3 days for it
As reported earlier on, his phone went dead suddenly few days ago

Got my son S3 back in only 2 days. Motherboard change FOC due to sudden death.
Excellent service from Samsung Center Hatten Square Malacca
