Same here. I am getting freezes the past 2 weeks about average 8 times a day. It's so annoying. I don't know exactly what event started this problem. I'm on 4.1.2 Malaysian stock firmware. Rooted. Here is the link to the forum with users sharing the problem. Solution is within but I haven't tried yet.

My mom's s3 been acting up badly keep showing the sim card can't be detected at first (stapler cut sim) should be gold chip worn off.  then sim card has been removed restart problems since last month. First I went and replaced it @ maxis center for RM 25. Working fine during the 2 weeks since 10 March. Now randomly the device will show restart when the sim is not detected.

Would like to comment on the Galaxy Charging app found in FP... helped me to pinpoint my charging problems, which culprit is the Samsung stock cable.  When plugged into the PC, phone showed a message saying there is no app on the PC to sync with the phone, bla bla, and I cannot see the phone contents in Windows Explorer.  Plugged in my 3 year old HTC cable and it's fine.  Stock charger with stock cable has unpredictable charging output (which was shown in the app).  Stock charger with HTC cable = steady charging.  Of course, XDA pointed out that faulty stock chargers will spoil any cables used with it, so I guess I won't use the stock charger anymore...
Errm... I thought should flash back stock image to remove all root and custom traces before sending back to SC

Cannot lah, my phone over 6 months... warranty for chargers and cables are 6 months only, right? 

Okay... will try it soon... but you know, the queue at Lowyat Samsung is crazily long... just bring phone and charger/cable?

In recent Google Maps update, the apps will keep auto run at background continuously to collect location data and caused more wakelocks. Therefore battery drain more than usual.

Here's the solution. 

*for un-root user*
Settings > Location services - turned off
Settings > Google > Maps & Latitude - all off

Also Google Now, Current and News & Weather are using Maps to find your current position. Make sure u disable at App Manager if you not using it.

second is the sun global batter (3000mAh), SOT for me 3-4.30 hours

iproc battery (2650mAh) additional 30min to 1 hours SOT

Small updates on my phone layout, haha! slightly modified dr30ma S 4 weather widget by cropping the image due to different resolution use in S 4 v/s S III. No choice, can only crop to prevent stretching issue.
