PR1MA homes income eligibility raised to RM15,000
 
SUNGAI PETANI: The monthly income eligibility to purchase 1Malaysia People’s Housing Programme (PR1MA) houses has been increased from RM10,000 to RM15,000.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the moratorium period (when the property cannot be sold or transferred without approval from PR1MA) will be reduced from 10 years to five years.

"This will increase the number of eligible purchasers and to make the houses easier to be marketed.

"With these two measures, I'm confident that PR1MA houses will be more attractive to buyers," Najib said during a visit to the newly completed PR1MA Residensi @ Sungai Petani project which comprises of about 2,700 houses.

PR1MA Malaysia was established under the PR1MA Act 2012 to construct and maintain high-quality housing with lifestyle concepts for middle-income households in key urban centres.

The houses come in various types and sizes within an integrated community, sensibly designed to suit different household needs and priced between RM100,000 and RM400,000.
