Need an advise on insurance claim for a burn car (does insurance will cover for it).

Its mitsubishi triton, park since 8.30pm last nite & burn at abt 6.30am this morning

bro, what happened?

i also have a triton, and this worries me. arson or electrical failure or something else?

What happened? Did u modified the electronics or add any mods which can cause this?

not sure, installed a spotlight on roof a few month ago. but its seems not the culprit..
now worried about the insurance claim .
anyone can advise me on insurance claim???

why don't u give your insurance agent a call this morning and ask for his advice

Depends on what your claim covers, go read the T&C in the agreement as well as consult the agency. Call their hotline straight.

Theres a guy frm wrkshop, ask us to engage them to help for insurance claim.. They ask us to do a police report, mention we go out in the morning & park the car for a while & it start to burn it self & also ask us not to call the insurance hotline as it may make the claim more dificult... Huhuhhh

check your policy

is ur policy include theft and fire?

usually comprehensive policy got

third party policy only got if you pay extra premium

btw, mind explain why it got burn?

insurance company can use dozen of reason to deny your claim

e.g : illegal installation of certain part without puspakom approval, involve in racing....

Need to check my policy, am using etiqa online, no copy of policy received.. Need to go to bank to take a copy of it.. .
Cause of fire is unknown.. Most probably short circuit .

how old is your car?still got loan?

5 years old.. Not the whole car, manage to stop the fire b4 it spread but from bonet till dashboard damage

just glance through the online policy will do...

bottom there got stated which clause included and which clause excluded...

Dun tell them about the modification u had done

u need report to bomba, they will investigate cause of fire n their report u need tht to claim insurans.

would u mind to elaborate more abt mech negligence done? how was the insurance claim goes.. any tips to share?
im done with bomba report, the officer told the report would be ready in 1 week time,,,

my kes ah? engine removed for repairs but mech didnt place bk d hose tht channels fuel into d engine properly. drive half way frm workshop, car caught fire.

i didnt claim insurance coz fire contained within engine bay n was put out with fire extinguisher, workshop foot d repair bills.

oh just read ur replies above. make sure your car is now at ur insurans panel workshop. they will file paperwork for u. u just pass them polis report + bomba report. later, insurans company will call u n ask what happen.

btw what bomba say?
