I prefer tower type of heatpipe. I have TT Silent Tower (with aluminium fins), TT Copper Tower (with cooper fins) and Ninja.
The advantage of tower is you can build your own "hot wind" tunnel to send the hot air coming out of tower directly to outside the casing. |

yes..with tower hsf we can control the air flow..but the main prob is the size..
tower hsf usually hav very big size..so it will hav compatibalty issue there.. |

QUOTE(epsilon99 @ Apr 11 2006, 12:23 PM) I prefer tower type of heatpipe. I have TT Silent Tower (with aluminium fins), TT Copper Tower (with cooper fins) and Ninja. You can also built an air-duct if you're using those "normal" HSF's.The advantage of tower is you can build your own "hot wind" tunnel to send the hot air coming out of tower directly to outside the casing. Cut a 92MM hole on your case where your processor is. Its best to be directly aligned. Then take a plastic cup or paper cup and put the cup to lead the hot air out. To fasten it, you can either use cellotape or silicone glue. You can either choose to have a fan or not to, it's okay. Of course with a fan ,it's got better efficency la, however it's not compulsary. QUOTE(zahri @ Apr 12 2006, 07:15 AM) i always like the tower type HSF, Hardly, it wouldn't break usually. It' usually heavy on the base and so far, i've NEEVER heard of a single case where the mobo breaks.but i am always afraid that it will fall and break my Mobo.... hehe... another one wud be the SLK-800A Silicon isn't weak stuff ya know... http://www.pro-clockers.com/article.php?id=133&page=1 another tower cooler from Scythe. HEHEHE! |
