I see many out of nowhere said Almera FC could beat Vios? When Almera is just barely launched, no one really owning it yet and they say FC better than Vios Dugong.

What do they base on to conclude Vios no better than Almera in FC? Have driven Vios around and its FC is better than any B-segment. Latio once claimed it could beat Vios but it didn't. So far only Fiesta able to put up the fight thanks to its new tech. From what I know, the Almera is only using old Latio 1.5 engine & 4AT gearbox.

So what you guys say?

I don't own an Almera, so I don't really have the data to support the FC is better than Vios. But several car medias have tested it and it showed able to achieve more than 14.9km/l as it claim. I owned a Vios, the best FC I able to achieve from 100% highway drive is 16+km/l.

i hardly get that figures like those here (vios), maybe i'm a heavy footer.. average speed from JB to KL is 120-160km/h.. so its not good FC i got.. even for highway driving

So they assume Almera FC better than Vios based on the media write up. Like this also can?

Read this from 1 forum where there's heated argument on Nissan FC. They said the lightfoot is a gimmick using custom or hidden fuel tank to achieve FC that could beat hybrid. From what they said, the Almera in lightfoot contest was never driven till empty tank, they just add in the trick to make the nozzle at refueling station to stop pumping indicating fuel tank full. If participants driven till empty, the car would have run out of fumes without touching anywhere close to the figure claimed in the contest.

Show us evidence, or it didnt happen. rolleyes.gif

It would be suicide if Nissan did such a cheat on a competition to promote their cars.
So I dont believe they dared to pull off such a trick on this.
