No la, the movie was made using a standard 4:3 video recorder but during the editing it was turned into a 16:9 widescreen.

They skipped the second volume of the novel where they did the making. Kyon supposed to edit the movie, but fell asleep and when he woke up, the movie had already finished.

meh, spoilers can be quite distressing to some. Just let me tell you that during "Days of teh Saggatarius", Itsuki sums it up. Haruhi believes in Kyon so much that she felt she will not lose that game, and Kyon believes in Haruhi that he KNOWS she won't end the world if she loses. Nobody can be more trusting than that, much to Itsuki's jelousy (YES! HE IS GAY FOR KYON!!)

lol, everyone of the SOS-dan likes Kyon, just ITSUKI IS DAMN WEIRD! And Haruhi is just the poster girl of Tsunderenes, so she will never agree with her feelings.

So is Sagara BTW. Hell, male characther cards are not usually popular in a male infested comiket world.
teh most famous theory of this series is that the world was not made by Haruhi initially but was the hidden desires of Kyon. While Haruhi might be the god of that world, the mightiest being there is Kyon.
Also reading the novels can lead to more interesting topics such as why does Kyon never intereact directly with other characthers (he talks to himself of an issue, and yet other characther can hear what he said. The only one he ever directly talked to was Haruhi), and the fact that he speaks as if this was an incident that happened long a go to him, and he calls all the other persons by their family name except Haruhi.
