Got my Exora CFE standard 2.5 months ago and already done 1000km servicing.
Wanna asked the expert here regarding few issues since this is first ever proton car i bought so far:

1. Exora CFE engine rpm always high as compared to camry 2.4. Observed below:
exora: 80kmph ~ 90kmph  --> 2500rpm
camry: 80kmph ~ 90kmph --> 1800rpm

Is this normal for CVT? I suspect this is the cause for high fuel consumption for Exora.

2. Try to drive Exora CFE faster than 110kmph, but everytime when reaches this speed, it seems like not too willing to go faster. Tried stepped harder on the gas pedal and it did went up to 120kmph, but not going much further.
Is this normal for CVT?

3. When in reverse mode, the car didn't seem to reverse. Press harder and the engine sound loud but only reverse a little bit. Normal?

4. Gear stick sound like very loose with "cluck cluck" sound when press the brake pedal (both engine on and off).

Anyone else in this forum have similar experience, please share with me. Thanks.

can't put the metal emblem as it's for the airbag to pop out.

On another matter on the EB CFE - anyone went to Genting can share. I know the car climbs effortlessly when going up whatever hills, but coming down, does the CVT gearbox hold on  low gears all the way if travelling at slow to medium speed.

You guys have any issue with noise when turning ac? Mine last time got this kreeek sound after turn on the ac. Then i spray the dw40 to the belt. It gone for a while. Now after running the engine for a long time eg on the road, i can hear like a greekk sound pulak. Like when you spin a bearing without its oil something like that. I have went to Proton COE several times but they kept saying the bearing has less lubricant. When they add the lubricant the next day it kept coming again. Any advise here?

I am with you. Suffered the same things. Aircond thermo amp problem. Got to go 3 times before SC agreed to replace. And 3 times need to take annual leave coz they can only accept claim on weekday. Imagine this is the main SC center of excellence so called.
Others defect are headlamp water ingress, back light LED module problem, driver seat making noise. Rattle sound at dash. Aircond belt noisy.

What can I say is welcome to the club.

My fuel consumption bout RM0.25/km and thats in city drive. Highway bout RM0.20-0.21/km.

That's quite high considering im driving sedately and really never push that hard. Izit normal to all EB owners?

After updating the ECU my dad said the car like less powerful..

Well..today at highway was chasing a Alphard..I thought Alphard v6 very powerful but then my dad speed up and manage to overtake the Alphard at about 160KM/H then continue 180KM/h since no traffic.
Highway clear..I see that the Alphard can't chase exo..

i decided not to do that.  my feb '12 EB still can go beyone 190, and average fc at 9.6-10.0L/100KM.
