hi,
i just did 40000km servis for EB CFE. Complained about jerking, the mechanic reflash TCU. then, got problems with engine mapping. after starting the engine, it will rev from 900 to 1100 briefly 3 to 4 times before idling.
Then the mechanic tried to remap the ECU. but then he wanted to change the map sensor. Since in Taiping, the part must be ordered first. I came with fewer problems, but left with more worries.
Another problem: Rear brakes give squeaking sound. The mechanic open the brake pads, showed me some dust in the groove on the pad. He said, cleaning it will eliminate the unwanted sound. But, as expected, the squeaking sound is still there.
Any help or experience from forumer?

MAP SENSOR called proton wecare and one of the technical support told me, the difficulties to start the engine and revving before rpm idling may be due to crank angle sensor. wondering what the SC done to my Exora. SQUEAKING BRAKING some forumers as well as another forums suggested to use bendix. is it ok? anyone has experience? afaik, the brake pad is not under warranty package. with that said, it should not void our warranty, aite? any exora-lawyer here?  |

hi all,
anyone with squeaking braking sound all the way till 20kmh or stop? mine still has that. cleared the dust at the brake pads at SC.
SC told me to skim the disc. the cost is on me. any info?

hill hold assist is a feature which the transmission hold the car from rolling back if it is on a steep ramp or hill, so to say. current EB CFE (old VT3) w/o hill hold assist (i guess) will roll back a little, like 30cm, before the clutch engages and moving forward. kinda scary for newbie, kinda dangerous for bumper-to-bumper situation. yet, proton doesn't care a shit. |
