Speaking about midfield trio in 433, I think my all time favorite would be Lampard, Essien and Makelele during Mourinho era.
Makelele was incredible in his position,and this is why the defensive midfield role are often called as the Makelele role nowadays.
The 433 under Mourinho is most effective against 442 formation. I remember Mourinho once said that, under a 433 formation, the team will always have advantage against a 442 team where the team only has 2 midfielders side by side.



I like Malouda-Lampard-Ballack trio under Carlo era too. Those rampaging wins!

I blame Benitez.

I am satisfied with Ba's performance so far. He is a great player, and will need some time before he click together with Mazacar.
With Lukaku coming back next season, I don't think we need to splash money on Falcao. Would rather use the money to lure a midfielder. Mourinho+Modric?

After yesterday Sturridge's performance, we Chelsea fans are afraid to face the fact that he was our player.

Lukaku was amazing too! He need to come back to Chelsea and play games. With his current performance, I don't think Torres will ever start again. Lukaku is only 19 and he already starts to shine! Amazing talent.

Anyway, great win! Brana was massively inspired by Drogba, no way he would have gone so far for that ball! Amazing moment.
I think A.Cole deserves some mention. He was amazing on yesterday's night. Experienced players like him are so useful in big matches like this. Lampard getting contract extension too I think!
I love how Ivanovic bow and the players celebrated with Ferreira. Clearly he's the respected man in the dressing room.

And, what's so special about Terry lifting the cup with his kit on?

Torres played well, and very good finish! Really appreciate his effort. And Benitez, thank you. Your job is done and you have your name on 2012-13 Europa League champion history.

Interesting signing. Messi and Neymar. Sounds superb really.
But to be honest, I wouldn't pay that much of money for Neymar. He's really not that kind of player who we are looking for.

I watched the CL final, and it's really interesting to see how the Germans' high pressing system works. The players are so hardworking and with some team chemistry adding in, they managed to knock out Real, Barca, Arsenal, and United.
Our team's main problem is clearly on the midfield. We have a great combat type of player(Ramires), a great AM(Lamp) but we are lack of someone who can dictate the game and calm things down. I am not someone who major football tactics', but I believe the lack of a ball dictator in the midfield is the cause of us conceding so many late goals.
Khedira/Modric would be fantastic to be added into our squad. But I can only hope now
