My dad is also an investor. He invests in props too and he adviced me the same thing. Take shortest loan and pay quickly. My dad and I have different approach. Everyone should find own way

+1 despite all of the negativities, malaysians are not that fanatic. We have so much to lose if our country is in chaos. Egypt and libya are not the same. The people in majority almost had nothing to lose.

I dont think we will become as bad as zimbabwe. If that happens, stick to paying ur housing loan coz considered dirt cheap. And plan to work overseas so earn in currency that is not local. For those staying locally, get ready to be a geologist, a pan, a map, and whatever u need to find gold. :p

Vietnam? Well thats a different story imho. There they dont have access to cheap credit like ours. Most banks will only give out tenure for less than 10 years for props. More over, they dont transact in dong for props. Use usd or gold. Most buyers are from 40 years and above. How?

I forgot to mention also the interest rate in vietnam is superhigh. In between 13-15%. Not like ours. So cheap. In vietnam, many people couldnt afford ler. Best thing is that annual salary increment for most companies also around 15-17%. Unfortunately only for vietnamese.

If i am a 100% believer in DDD camp but i am still buying, that means i only fool people around me. If i am a 100% believer in UUU camp but still not buying anything, that means i only fool people. If any of the above occurs, meaning i dont practice what i preach. Hence i will consider myself a liar.

Btw yes, I agree if you think >500k prop going to be hit very hard (approximately majority of property in KV nowadays is >500k anyways) but low-cost will be stagnant then yes, you should be in DDD camp as well.
