It's finally here - the sata-usb connector to hook up the 360's hdd to yr pc/notebook.

Link here.

Do note certain contents (such as purchased arcade games, themes) are still machine-locked or profile-locked so u just can't freely transfer stuff in and out of your hdd - these are digitally signed. Gamer profiles, game saves (including xbox1 game saves) & trailers (hd-wmv) work ok. I still haven't figure out if we can transfer songs (wma) directly onto the hdd.

Works with xplorer360 software. Datel didn't even bother to write their own software for this unlike the bundled software in their Memory Unit transfer kit.

Can't wait to see what the 360sata and AvaLaunch teams will come up with as a result of this. Their respective products are scheduled to be commercially released next week.

hehe.. anyway tell us how it works out. Since this thing uses the Xplorer360 that would mean that after the last dashboard patch, files can be taken out by the thing but will not be usable when you put it back in. At least that's what I remember I heard people talking about the patch.

read it somewhere that don't use the installer that came with it, coz it cannot work. instead get the latest xplorer360 from the net.

Thanks for the heads-up. But let me clarify.

What you described above applies only to the Datel Transfer Kit (360 memory unit <-> PC), not the XSATA. Yeah I have this Transfer Kit too and yes don't use the drivers that came with Datel's installation CD if you plan on using xplorer360 with the Transfer Kit. If you install the Datel drivers, it won't work with xplorer360. You'll need the special drivers.

However, for the XSATA, this is recognised as a removable drive in My Computer when you plug the usb although you'll still need xplorer360 to cut and paste files between the pc and 360 hdd.

oh, my mistake. i thought it was for XSata.

but for USD39.90 kinda way overpriced. a cheap connector xb360->Sata can be had for only USD5. or also can just open the screw housing the HDD and connect to any available Sata port.

i ask bout it from djinn as well...I nd it to replace WE2008 unlicensed jersey with actual sponsored jersey. However, according to him the lack of demand is the reason it's hard to find it here atm...
