You must meet the following criteria:

Must have the latest iOS version 6.1.3 or above.
Must update to the latest carrier setting (eg. Maxis 14.1).

How do I verify that I have updated my devices correctly?
Go to Settings > General > Cellular.
Ensure that Cellular Data and Enable LTE are turned ON.
Can MultiSim (MISM ) users , satisfying criteria 1 & 2 above, enjoy LTE services?
We regret to inform you that this option is not available for MISM users.

What band does the Apple LTE device support?
Apple devices support LTE 1800Mhz.
How will I know if I am within LTE coverage?
Your Apple device will show the MY MAXIS LTE identifier on screen.

Conclusion : as long as u have data quota > 1GB u can have LTE provided with micro / nano sim EXCEPT Multisim regardless u are on Main or Secondary.
