i like to pretend CE never happened

but some suit designs are nice, i can let them slide, but when you say inside the animation, i'd like to pretend most of them never existed

maybe gloss coating will work, not sure though, but you'd get better answers in the painting and modding thread, though i think it's been buried quite far down

Wrong section brah but i'll answer for u la since its short and simple. There r 3 kinds of top coat:

1. flat = dull finish
2. semi gloss = in between
3. gloss = shiny finish

u wan to retain metallic shine then use gloss top coat. If u hav airbrush u can even use future floor acrylic straight out of the bottle.

i have been wanting to ask, what's an alternative to future floor finish? i think it tightens joints as well, right? i haven't been able to find any over here so far, any viable alternatives?

alternatives, well i guess any acrylic base floor shine will do but i cant guarantee u the results though, the only 1 i tried is future floor. U can also use clear paint by tamiya, gunze, and gaia, top coat is just a fancy name for clear paint anyway.

yes it'll tighten the joint. Any thing will do that to be honest as u r adding an additional layer over the surface be it regular paint, topcoat, etc.
