I don't frequent pub servers let alone the LYN ones much, That being said even a non-configured vanilla server usually doesn't end up with the performance that it recently had. I was considering whether it's because it may or may not have been using a development version of SMOD which affected the CA servers recently in the same fashion, though I ain't a part of the inner workings so I wouldn't know.

garm3n hud has broken and i don't think the maker gonna update soon. could anyone give me a simple hud just like this.

yours gotchu? my bad. but the thing is after the last tf2 update the hud is broken and v 011 is still doesn't do it. i can't even see the scoreboard and my hud is kinda messed up also. i just want to find a simple hud for my tf2.

andrew never plays sniper, and bot killer is mine.

pretty sure it works for me still since it was broken during that patch.
found an update ver and it worked out.

i dont think garm3n maintains stable releases anymore, so you'll have to get them from other users

Anyone running this game on a laptop with specs i5 4200u, GT 740m and 4GB RAM? I decided to install this game on my new laptop so that I can let my main PC rest a little but the game is lagging on my laptop. Shouldn't the specs be quite OK to run the game smoothly?

Windows 8.1, i7, 750M, 4GB ram here. I don't have problems playing in game, but for some reason it takes a long time for me to load maps. Whenever the map changes, I'm usually one of the last to load. However after the map loads, my FPS is consistently quite high 60-100+.

Going by that specs, should be enough to run.
But no matter what specifications a laptop can have, it wont perform as well as a PC.
There will always be some limiting factor like gpu, psu and hdd issues.

try to ensure ur lappy not on some power saving mode
depending where u installed steam, ensure there's ample space in that drive.
update gpu drivers

Plus if you're gaming you better have the thing plugged in. iinm laptops' performance is slightly throttled if they're running off of battery power.

Hmm.. well at least you could get it to run smoothly after awhile. I was actually tempted to get the i7 model of my laptop but it only came with an SSD which is a big no for me and also the salesperson said that the difference between i5 4200u and i7 4200u is not significant. Is your i7 processor a different one though?

Well, maybe there is some power saving mode turned on (I'm still not sure). I can have the problem of lack of storage space checked off because its still quite new and I haven't got much running on it . Will report back.

or maybe you need plug battery and outlet together to run game.

my bro laptop also got something similar problem, that is he normally unplug battery when using laptop since he is using in home, but when he play dota2 , the laptop will straight black out and he need to restart it.

end up actually it is not enough power draw from outlet, need to plug battery to play dota2.

Yup as others have mentioned some Windows laptops will use Power Saving profile when not plugged in. This will limit CPU/GPU power. Make sure your laptop is using the High Performance setting. Note that sometimes this setting is still not used even when plugged in and you might have to to change it manually!
