You guys are reading it wrong. They are trying to "civilize" the government servants into not using racial terms when serving and using correct BM language. No more calling ahpek to the elderly Chinese. The article only said "seperti apek dan ah soh" but it can encompass other terms like "ane" or "macha" when talking to Indians.

I think it's just a petty matter but perhaps it's a small step in slowly improving their language.

Or maybe it's a backhanded remark saying elderly Chinese people are complaining about tiny little things.
