I wish to get into the The Legend of Zelda but I don't know where to begin. Can anyone give me suggestion which one to start first?

My baptism was Link's Awakening DX.
It was an eye opening game for me at that time. Really good one...

Like other say Link to the Past is must play if you have Wii via virtual console or GBA.. one of the best LoZ game!

if got time, then start from the first Zelda game on NES, The Legend of Zelda
then The Adventure of Link
then on SNES's A Link to the Past, then GB's Link Awakening
then N64/3DS's Ocarina of Time, then N64's Majora's Mask
then GBC Oracle of Season, then GC's windwaker
then GBA's Four Sword, then Minish Cap
then GC/Wii's Twilight Princess,
then NDS's Phantom Hourglass, then Spirit Track
and lastly Wii's Skyward Sword

DEfinitely ocarina of time...

LoZ:OoT is a must for any gamer.

Btw, awakening DX is a good place to start.

Go with Link to the past since it's still tact with the original concept than on to Ocarina of time and just venture for any Zelda title out there.

Though beware, the original NES is quite hard if you're not familiar.

im gonna go with wind waker because it's my favourite zelda title
