A fren told me to insulate the anchor/perch hole (the female part) of the dashbord where the glovebox overhang (male part) comes in to rest. Insulate with a thin cushion pad that has glue on one side. The idea is that when 2 separate parts join snugly, less vibrations, hence less rattle.

I know my English is not good to describe that marriage. I am also no good at taking pictures. The other problem is when one does that, then open/close the glovebox many times later, the cushion pad displaces and the rattles reappears.
