Sometimes the apps there will show nothing, even his Android OS and Android system is not there. He did mention his usage in that post.

Im guessing what he did was undervolt his phone, i've seen other people doing that in the battery stat thread in XDA, most of them can get more that 8 hours of SOT with moderate usage
*
UV would not safe u much. S2 is a 1.2ghz dual core phone and it can run 4.1.2 very smoothly. So similarly you can also UC to 1.2 ghz and trust me u will safe alot of battery. Tried it before then i realise i did not buy a 1.6 ghz phone just to run it at 1.2 ghz. tongue.gif

Uc to 1.2 you did not have any problem like micro lag during transition , opening apps and typing ?
*
I went 1.4 tak ada lag whatsoever but battery saving was noticeable. Feels just like running 1.6 but of cos this is normal usage not any high demanding games.

You can try 1.2 if you want. Its just a simple adjustment in whatever cpu app you use.

+1 check your BBS also

I suddenly get audioout_2 wakelocks and i noticed if i am not playing Candy Crush , i dont have . IF i do , I have it and the time is as long or slightly longer then the time i use to play Candy Crush .

p/s : getting old and keep missing out words when i write something  rclxub.gif
*
If it only happens when you playing the game then technically its not a wakelock no? hmm.gif

I always get audioout_2 wakelock in my bbs and like you i relate it to the games i play. But i just ignore it cos even if this wakelock shows 1 - 2 hrs, i still get >6hrs SOT. tongue.gif

In celcom plan, there is an "Additional Usage" section, One of the service is called "Video Calling" which is chageable at 30cts per min. This is the area I am worry about. In Iphone, facetime video calling is free and only data is used. But since there is Video Call in Note 2, I am not sure whether it is using just data or use the video calling service offer by celcom.

Here the link to celcom : http://www.celcom.com.my/first/data/plans-and-services.php
*
Video call uses video calling.

Have anyone experienced the scenario before?

Currently using a flip casing, with an app running, closed the flap and reopened, the app was exited. The possibilities are, the flip cover somehow is conflicting with the return key, sometimes I noticed it will bring out the multiwindow menu as well.

Planning to use with without a casing for the moment. Maybe look for bare casing like cruzerlite etc
*
Yes possibility the flap is touching the back button.

QUOTE(disasternero @ Mar 19 2013, 09:33 PM)
is it possible bcoz of cutting sim..?
*
Maybe. SMS is quite straight forward in its setting. Its usually either Telco or the sim card itself. Best you take it to celcom and check.

sklchan

are these settings reflective of a battery saving nature or is it performance oriented?

I actually tried my hand at modifying some voltages and hotplugging some CPUs yesterday and rebooted with every change

all i got was more lag =.=

i reduced 1 step from all voltages (2 step for 200 mhz) and hotplugged the cpu to 1,100 for 3 and 4 cores

also

i found out through Android System Info app that my CPU usage is 75% + stuck at 1,100 mHz

any solutions?

1. UV may differ from device to device. It is better you try yourself which setting is most suitable
2. You do not need to reboot
3. sklchan's settings, as he mention was for battery saving
4. Increase freq of responsiveness is you experience too much lag. I personally use 700.
5. Also i disable flexrate.

what i find 'interesting' is that SanDisk says its just affecting a small portion... true? not true? or maybe majority never copy/paste big files <--- best way to kill the card

also, how to know if we're getting the new and improved batch? big files won't kill the card anymore? if so, i guess its time for me to grab one. biggrin.gif
*
Since sandisk seems to have resolve the issue, just keep replacing your faulty cards until you get a good one. doh.gif Or show the article to vector and demand they find out which one is from a good batch then only replace for you. laugh.gif

so many custom rom..anyone can suggest me which one is the best..i know diff user diff view..but what's custom rom that many user use here...thx in advance for ur opinion guys..
*
My advice is....
All custom rom is almost the same unless the chef made an error. So just go for the one with the theme you want.

The reason i am using wanam is
1) Its stable with no issue
2) The fastest to update to latest firmware

After that i just apply whatever theme/mod i want on top of it.

I am so sorry to off topic because i need to seek expert advice

im on galaxy s3 mini currently, so i need a pro advice how to solve my issue

1. calendar setting "default reminder time" mean it will repeat reminder every timeframe we set right?

2. when ppl call me, the ringtone is soft, and after 1sec then become loud... any setting to make it straight loud?

3. when the message come, it only virbrate once, i thought it will follow ringtone to vibrate?

4. when the sms come, i click message the ringtone wont stop? only click the upper icon will stop ringtone?

5. why i cannot read delivery reports?

any sifus?

really appreciate
*
You should be asking in S3 mini thread but..
1. I think its the default reminder it will set for each task/appointment you key in
2. Its like that, you need to search in S3 mini thread to see if there is any tweak to disable ascending ringtone. There is an app in the market also to disable it but dunno what its called.
3. Vibrate for SMS i think only once
4. Its like that. Use a shorter tone for SMS if you want
5. Dunno cos i never use this function.

If you have latest stable BBS installed, ensure to check all option in dumpfile then change your dump state since boot. After that hit dump to file. If you plug the charger, it might spoil the BBS readouts. I can't help without idle dumpfile. Sorry  sad.gif

Hey i remembered you use to love per-app-dpi back on S2. Have you tried per app dpi on Note 2 before to get tablet mode?

I hope you have an unlimited internet quota. Note 2 rom size is really a killer if you like to change rom. tongue.gif

QUOTE(nehalem176 @ Mar 20 2013, 03:15 PM)
Yup, previously in romow rom. Certain app will get fc when go to lower dpi so you have to try and error which suits best for portrait and landscape mode. I'm not really bother it anymore. Nandroid is your best friendĀ  nod.gif
*
I was playing around with xposed framework and wanted to try the tablet mode apk, but too bad it seems to conflict with simplistic framework and get systemui fc. Lazy to reflash rom to get rid of simplistic. whistling.gif

Edit reading more seems the systemui fc may not be related to simplistic. Will try again later.

No simplistic included. Its a very basic rom. So you can add-on whatever that's compatible.
