Requesting for recommendations. Age of user: 50 - 65 years old.
Brand: No specific preferences Budget: Approximately MYR600.00, but is flexible. Quality first. Specs: (a) Minimal lag. My experiences with Samsung Android phones weren't too good. Most of these phones start lagging after a few months of use. Peers recommended iPhone by Apple, citing that they seldom lag. I need verification on this. (b) Decent camera. © Large display, preferably around 5 inches. (d) What else do people usually ask for? I've no idea. The user of this phone will be using this phone to make calls, sending text messages, snapping photographs and jot down reminders (e.g. Buy cake at noon). The user is old, hence larger display might be better, but not a strict requirement though. Occasional use of WhatsApp, but definitely no RAM-heavy apps like downloadable games or Waze. Type/Size: No specific preferences Reluctant to ask for recommendation directly at the store, because friends have informed me that the sellers will definitely try their hardest to push Oppo phones due to high commission. Therefore, I'm asking here for suggestions that may hopefully to be more objective, neutral and less aggressive. |

QUOTE(bigmac999 @ Sep 13 2015, 06:15 PM) Thanks for your recommendations!I'm surprised to see all of these recommended brands from China, some of them I have never heard of before. I was expecting phones along the lines of ASUS Zenfone, older versions of iPhone, Samsung Galaxy series or even some cheap Oppo phones. Can you please give some brief descriptions on the major differences (pros and cons) of each phone? If it were up to you to decide, which one would you choose / recommend? You seem to be highly experienced with phones.Best performance /price ratio 5.5 inch sharp screens Minimal lag And good decent camera If u want a more popular brand Get asus padfone s Unless u don't spending more for more recognised brands The phones recommended earlier have 13MP rear camera, and this exceeds my expectations. I was expecting about 6 MP to 8 MP only. Asus Padfone S seems like a good option. What about Asus Zenfone 5, though? What do you think? If I increase the budget to MYR750.00, and made several changes to the required specs, would you have any new recommendations? 1. Brand. no specific brand.
2. Budget. <2K 3. Specs - Good Camera (both back & front), Dual Sim, Less Heat issue, Good Battery Life & Minimal Lag, 5-5.5" Am currently using Samsung S5 but its getting more n more laggish and also the camera is poor at low light. The front camera is doing bad as well. Saw Meizu MX5, the spec seems good but not sure on the actual performance as i saw a some complain on mx4 on the heating issue. Or shall I wait for Honor 7? Actually I have read on some cheaper options which is Oppo Find 7, ALcatel Idol 3 and elephone P800 which seems not bad. Hope Sifus outhere can help out. Am quite noob on choosing phone. Or there might be other options and recoomendation which i dont know This post has been edited by princessworldz: Sep 15 2015, 12:42 PM |

Hi guys, I am back again with new question.
QUOTE(Belphegor @ Sep 17 2015, 09:38 AM) I am dwelling between these few phones. Do suggest me other phones if you think these phones are not good enough. Budget around 1k, can excess abit but not too much. Oppo Find 7 - Because people been telling me this is the best phone with 1k budget Sony C5 - Because I like the borderless screen Lenovo Vibe Shot - Recommended by colleagues Asus Zenphone Selfie - Recommended by colleagues MUST HAVE: Good battery life, 3GB RAM, MSD slot, won't get heat up easily, good GPS NOT NECESSITY BUT PLUS POINT: Good camera for rear and front, dual sim, removable battery, NFC Currently using Mi3 and the GPS is always the pain in the ass. Also 16GB is never enough for me since I take lots of photos. Sifus, please help me by let me know which phone would be better. |
