I checked out some reviews online some do say that Galaxy Grand is like a lowered version of S3...
But I saw someone benchmarking them both using Epic Citadel UReal engine and S3 is running if smoothly..
But Grand having artifact and the graphic is lagging sometimes....

buying one for parent use:
ease of use, durable (can last for 3yrs), not too big screen(fit into pocket), no need powerful processor, mostly use for calling/sms/whatsapp, not taking pictures, not installing apps/games except whatsapp.

I am currently using HTC Sensation XE for about 1.5 years. The phone lags a lot and the camera quality is not very good. So I would like to have recommendations on a new phone.

Details as follow:

1. Brand. Samsung or Nokia
2. Budget. <RM2K
3. Specs.
Good camera to quality photo like those a few posts above,
Smooth
Doesn't heat up very fast when using data (my current phone heats up really fast whenever I use it to play games or surf the net)
Good battery life (hopefully can last a day with moderate data usage)
Used for whatsapp, twitter, facebook, instagram, fun run, zite, music/radio
Basically what a typical tertiary student needs. Need it to view PDFs as well
4. Type/Size. Smartphone. Touchscreen.
Not too big, not too small, just nice for me to hold it with 1 hand and i would be able to tap from top to bottom with my thumb. This not a very big issue.
