I got a client recently bought a P4 2.4B, Motherboard , 256 DDR Ram and 30 GB HDD from me.
i deal with him COD in my University.
that day, i did mentioned to him to check properly the items. because The Motherboard+ram is new item..and i had to went to my hometown Penang to pickup for him (cost me RM40) just to pick up and sell to him lol in KL.

well, i've opened up everything and let him see and checked...telling him also these board nvr used one...coz soonly after my board burned when i OC last time, i throw my other Rig away at a side...but after a while i decided to find a simple board and sell it out lol...

In my thread, i mention selling out parts~~highest bidder got 3 person- offer same RM500+ for quickgrab.

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f=54&t=268136&st=0

now he claimed back to me say cannot sell out to other people...because the Mobo dun have I/O back panel. (Notice that He is actually selling it to other people...and the client not satisfied with it...so, he cannot sell, and blame me back~~)
but the whole machine can run nice and smooth...

so...i just wanna seek for you all opinion...coz i'm a honest seller...i dun wish to keep things ~~i'm with a good reputation in my previous sales~

If he want the I/O backplate, just go to any computer shop and ask if they have any spares.

I've got 3 I/O backplates for my own PCs from a computer shop for free.

Not your fault. If he wanted to sell out to some other people and cant because no I/O panel, that's his oversight.

You never mentioned anything about I/O panel and he didn't requested for one either when trade was made, so you're only responsible for the goods you sold.

If you really want to help, as they say can go Pc shop ask for I.O panel then send to him. If not, tell him that and ask him go get himself.

not your fault IMO coz the buyer should've check everything especially when it comes to COD. coz you're meeting him face to face. can't be certain about Poslaju tho. but yea, from my point of view...it's the buyer's fault for not checking it properly. nothing can be done once you made that deal.

the reason i did COD is because i honest enough to meet my client...dare to show my face~ coz the things inside i confidence 100% work de...
but i was quite upset when he suddenly ask for refund...coz i dealt more than RM50K so far, this is the first time i meet such client~
anyway, i gave him an advice to customize the back panel using softboard/ softplastic just to coverup the empty space...

i don't know about you but the back panel is important for some people. Anyone who buy a new or old computer and knows about it would definitely ask for the back panel because it comes with the motherboard.

In your case, it is partially your buyer's fault for not enquiring about it before paying for the product. If you really honest, you would have pointed out saying the back panel is not included. But it is more his fault for not checking properly since this is a second hand product.

Therefore, technically it's not you fault. If you want to help, you can refer him some of the quickgrab people who are interested in that PC. Let them deal it out.
