Wow thanks.. yinchet should add this on pg 1.. seems like the so called Sultan Jamalul is not even recognized by Pnoy govt. The rightful one although yet to be crowned should be Datu Muadzul Lai Tan Kiram

NO bcos no such agreement. We kena bcos the British court of North Borneo said so in the 30's.

icic... then MY just continue the payment as per agreement to Kiram family
By right, no issue... isn't it?

If the payment is too low, then Kiram family have to work like a common people or ask their follower to give Kiram family 10% of the follower salary...
Kiram follower can also go to Sabah to become tour guide in KK/Sipadan to earn $$$ and send some $$$ to the Kiram family

the payment IS low... thats why these sultans are poor fags...

these sulus claimed they owned sabah last time, when they are only coastal dwellers. inland natives like dusun didnt lay such claim. when sabah was only a jungle with natives that the sulus didnt want to meet, sulus thought they dont have any use of it, so they so-called "leased" it "in perpetuity" to the brits.

payment was USD5,000.

payment now is RM5,300 after macaskie judgment - to be divided to 9 heirs = these kirams are fighting for scraps
*
Btw, RM 5,300 is paid every month or per year?

Pity the Sultan in Philipines... Somemore the RM deteriorate as now 1 SGD = 2.5 MYR
RM 5,300 / 9 heirs = Each heirs got RM 589 or SGD 235 (Maybe can bring heir + partner + 1 kid to Universal Studio in Singapore)

Can't we just put Tank along the coast and tell Kiram family to stop the invasion and enjoy their free RM 5,300
Every national day, we showcast so many weaponary... icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

probably was a big amount when macaskie delivered the judgment

definitely a big amount when the grant was signed in 1878

but still to fight over scraps like hyenas - must be too stupid or too desperate
*
I do agree that RM or USD 5000 is a lot of $$$ way back 1878 and just did a calculations..
Using an inflation of 5% per year, and RM 5000 since way back 1878, then the $$$ would be about RM 3.6 million in year 2013 hmm.gif hmm.gif
