was introduced to your products by a friend recently. Recently many of my electrical equipment have been getting fried and very frequently. Last night was the worse as the lightning storm in my area & flash flood. It took out my TV or Satellite box (HDMI down still need to trouble shoot what the fried component), computer network card, NAS power adaptor, phone line also down.

In the past 12 months, 2 adsl modems and 2 satellite box =.=''''

Whats best for my current set up.

Point A powers:
-adsl modem (subscribed to Streamyx)
-wireless router
-8 port switch (because previous hit took out the router ports, only 2 left and getting a switch was a cheap & quick solution)
-NAS (network attached storage)
-Laser printer

Point B powers
-Desktop computer (network via LAN cable)
-monitor
-speakers

Point C powers
-TV
-HiFi
-Satellite Boxes (one box is connected via LAN to router)
-Blu-Ray player

Point D powers
-Desktop PC (network via WiFi)
-speakers

Point E powers
-Cordless phone

Hopefully you can give me some suggestions on what I can use to reduce my equipment mortality rate >_<' I need to go kill Diablo and save the world !!!!

basically POINT refers to 1 power outlet/line... probably should have described it better.. smile.gif

Point A
Is there any telephone / ADSL Splitter Filter connected with those equipments?
- Nope. Directly wired. Should use? I have.... didnt see much difference in using...

How many wired lan cables connected to other PC / equipments from modem / router / switch?
- Switch connects, 1 PC & satellite box
- Router connects, the switch, the modem and the NAS

Laser Printer & NAS connected via lan cable at Point A?
-laser printer connect to PC @ point B via USB. NAS connects to router via LAN. I can set the laser printer to connect to NAS for printing if need....

Point B
you can use SD-4C if consisted of power + lan protection only

Point C
your TV / satellite box connected to any aerial antenna or astro dish?
-yes, satellite dish & aerial antenna

Point D
you can use MDSC0039 for power protection only

Point E
you can use SF9512ARD, but i recommended to get SF9812ARD + spare SKPXARD if ur DECT phone always damaged by lightning

Other question:
Is it all the equipment of Point A-E located in the same room? If no, which equipments located at different location?
No. Points A & B are in the same room. the rest in separate areas.

Tx for the fast response thumbup.gif

Ok.. Hmm.. Im planning to rearrange my room also. Not so space effective at the moment... So merging points A & B should not be an issue.

Why is there a need to duplicate SLAN1236? Between point A&B + C? or is that an error?

1x SF9812DSL (79) 79
1x MDSC0039FC (63) 63
1x MDSC0039 (53) 53
2x SLAN1236 (39) 78
1x SF9812ARD (79) 79

So estimated around RM 352?

limited lifetime warranty...
u can restore ur cal-lab unit with small cost around RM10-RM15 for whole life if send the damaged unit to HQ directly rather than purchase new unit after the expired of warranty...
