i bought the SLAN1236 model

i already ground the earth wire to a 3pin homeplug
so should i turn on the plug ? or just leave the plug 'off' ?
will it still working ?

my 2 units of slan1236 have been fried by lightning 2 days ago
they had protect my modem n pc
thank god no bigger damage

i wanna ask,can i go to repair the slan1236 unit ?
where to repair ? the shop which i bought in lowyat plaza or cal-lab service center ?
how much the repair cost ?

can i get a rebate/discount if i buy a new unit of slan1236 ?
